I am renting for two weeks in Oct, picking up in West Palm and dropping in Orlando, 293. for an intermediate at National. This is the best rate I could get so far, even if I was picking up and dropping at the ame airport. I used the old DC contract id, but am afraid when I return the car, National will say, sorry, that code is no longer valid & I'll have to pay a ca-jillion dollars for the rental! Anyone still having luck with this? Is this a great rate? Thanks!

The last Disney Club News I received had an offer from National for $20 off a weekly rental. The offer expires 12/31/2003. You might want to check the Disney Club website for any recent developments.

I used the old code rate when I booked National in Nov. for April. It accepted the code and I expect it to be honored. It was valid at the time of booking, National's system will kick back codes that are no longer valid and request thta you enter a valid code.

Can't believe you will have a problem - assuming you have a valid DC card and a copy of your internet confirmation/reservation.

Last December, I had a reservation using the old code for a very good rate. Upon return, the agent charged me a LOT more than my confirmation said. Had to go to the booth in the garage to get it straightened out. Agent eventually "fixed" something and I ended up being charged a bit less than the original ressie had estimated. No one ever asked to see my card or questioned how the computer gave me the rate. IMHO, National should remove the old contract ID from its system if it doesn't intend to honor it.

Anyway, you will be fine! The worst that will happen is you will have to go to the booth or counter to get the rate. Be sure to bring your DC card and a copy of the confirmation.

HTH.

I just used the old Disney Club contract ID for my March 1-8 rental. No problems.

Hi frannn- We've booked before with "questionable" codes and have never had a problem. If you are unsure, book an additional car with another company as a back up plan. We booked with Nat'l for 5-22/5-27 + 5 hours and got a rate of 119.66 for a full size car, including all fees, using the old DC code and the 20.00 off coupon from the entertainment book.

Mary, your site, and Deb's was mentioned in the Sunday paper, New York Newsday, as a great unofficial site for saving money on your Disney vacation. They should tell people to go to your site first, smarten up, and then go to the disney sites. I can't tell you of how many times I'll tell a friend to go to your site before they book, only to have them tell me that after they book they then go to your site and ask me what to do to get a better rate using a code from your site.
