has anyone else lost their desire to travel?

Thanks C. Ann! That's our trailer (oviously). It carries our tent, sleeping bag, pillows, clothes, clooking supplies etc etc! I love it because I don't have to try to cram all my stuff for a week or more into the little sidebag on the bike iteself!

Here we are in the mountains a couple of weeks ago!

What kind of motorcycle is that? My uncle had a Honda Goldwing, this was years ago. It was a sweet touring bike.

It's a 2009 Victory Vision. We LOVE it. We had a BMW R1200RT but we traded it for the victory when it came out because A) it had a beeter knee position on long rides for DH, and B) I love the big cushy backseat! DH's dad's cousin has a Goldwing and man oh man he loves it. It tends to have kind of an older guy stigma to it. We liked the space age look of the Victory Vision.

We like to travel a lot, even by car. But, I must admit, I LOVE to fly. I like just about everything about it and never felt it was a hassle at all. My one and only issue with flyinf is the cost. I remember when you used to be able to fly most places round trip for cheap! Now it always seems like it's an arm and a leg.

DH and I just love to see the world. I'm a "vacationer" though. I like to go places and see things and them come back to a nice home base. DH would just pick up and move to New Zealand or somewhere if I would give it the "ok". LOL!

I love to travel and can't imagine a day that I won't:) Unfortunately, my wallet is taking a huge hit and I seem to be obsessed to the point of going without some things people consider necessary and it causes some talk:rotfl:

DD is getting to the age that she would prefer to have the material things her friends have rather than take another trip with Mom. When she asks for XXX, I seem to equate it with some future trip as in "I'd really like Uggs this year for school" with my reply being "well, if I have to buy Uggs and Northface jackets to keep up with the Jones', we won't be able to go to XXXX". So far, I'm good, but I think it's a losing battle.

I used to love flying and would travel between 5-10+ times a year using airline travel. But now its just so hectic and expensive and then the fees. ugh. Now I never take flights anywhere and just drive. I've also stopped taking as many vacations as I used to and spend more money upgrading the house.

I love to fly and am not phased at all by any of the hassles at the airport. I have security and such down to a science. The expense, however. Oy! That's the one single thing preventing us from flying anywhere for vacation these days.

I remember a few years ago, DD was 6 and DS was 3. We missed our connection in Paris to Spain, and spent 7 hours in DeGaulle before we can get the next flight. We laugh about it now and just chalk it up to adventure.

I enjoy experiencing new places (and WDW of course), but getting there is no fun at all. I'll still travel, but the hassles of flying have reduced the fun.

This. If I never have to fly again in my life, I'd be a very happy camper.

Unfortunately, we're taking a cruise in Feb out of Miami that requires a flight. :headache:

Due to my geographic location, there is no way around flying to some places.

Odd man ...er....woman out here. LOL I never liked to travel and still don't. I want to go to a place and stay there but all the little side tours and stuff I can do without.
I know, I know, there's a big world out there. But for me I don't enjoy a lot of what travelling entails (won't go into the details).

Luckily I married a man who doesn't have a *need* to travel any more than I do. We DO like going to Disney to get away from the nasty winter weather and we used to enjoy our summer trips to Mackinac Island but we didn't venture much beyond where we lay our heads at night, well...maybe a little side trip 20-30 miles away but the whole seeing the world never really thrilled either of us.

I'm fairly certain we're the only ones who feel this way. LOL My dad used to get screaming angry that we didn't *want* to go anywhere and just to get his goat I'd tell him that in retirement we didn't plan to travel much either. I know, I'm a bad daughter. LOL

So doesn't anyone else NOT want to travel?
