Has anyone else been told this?

When I made reservations for someone earlier in the week, I was asked for the names of each occupant in the room for the reservation. When I told the CM that I didn't know each name at this point, (since the trip is for next May) she told me I would have to provide them before the check-in date. I told her that I had never in the past had to provide the names before, just the number of occupants and whether they are children or adults . She said that this was a new policy and I would have to provide names.

Has anyone else expereinced this change in policy?

If you do not provide the names of the guests in the room, then the guests probably will not be able to check in. I did notice last month at OKW when we pulled up the first time that the guard asked for our name. He checked a list & let us in.

On a stay at OKW a couple of years ago, some DVC members were staying with us. The room was in our name. I read something that said I should have Member Services add their name to our reservation. Otherwise they would not have been given keys to our room.

I did give them the name of the person who I was making the reservation for, just like I do when I make any reservation for a family member. This was different because they wanted the specific names of all four people in the room. In the past I was only asked number of people and adult/child.

I was not asked for this information last week when making a reservation for some friends....

I just made a reservation on Friday and when I offered to provide the names was told they didn't need them unless they were checking in before me.

I'll probably fax their names in just to be on the safe side.

Interesting.....CRO usually asks for all names when making reservations for cash, and I was a bit surprised to find that DVC didn't do this.

Maybe they are starting now?

I was asked the names of everyone in our party when we checked in.
