Hi. I have an ADR for California Grill on 12/15 at 9:50. This trip was kind of spur of the moment, and that's as good as I could get on such short notice. I love the CG and there won't be any kids in our party that night, but I'm wondering if it's to late and the service and food will suffer.

Any thoughts?

Being left coasters, we often go very late for dinner, especially in the early part of our vacations. CG, esp after fireworks is over, is actually much quieter. I noticed the food and service at that time of the night to be just as good as when we have dined there earlier in the evenings.

We just ate there less than a week ago with a 9:50 p.m. reservation. It was the earliest we could get but we didn't mind. The food was spectacular, the service wonderful. The fireworks had been at 8 p.m., so the kids had pretty much cleared out. It was great. We'll always book 10 p.m. or so, now.

Good to know. Thanks everyone!

Unless you are a fireworks fanactic, 9:50 may be one of the better times to go. It's mayhem in the California Grill up through the end of the fireworks. After that, it's a completely different restaurant.
