I love Cuban/Spanish food and have been dying to try this place but I have only read bad reviews. Either the food is lousy, the service bad or the music too loud! Anybody have anything good to say?

We've been there a number of times. We like it! It is not the best Latin food, but it is still tasty! We also like the atmosphere. If you are looking to have latin food and can travel, try The Latin Quarter at City Walk! Their food is better!

Not a fan of Bongos (slow service, dried out pork) - Try Columbia in Celebration if you can get there- it's great!!

...For your suggestions AND reviews!! The last time I was at WDW,we didn't have time to go,but I remember walking by and just LOVED the music coming from that place!! I think I just have to try it!!

In our numerous rips to WDW we always avoided Bongos, because more than one guide has given it unfavorable reviews. We tried it finally (it is my goal to try every WDW and DD restaurant) and were so surprised that we loved it !!
Definitely try it !:D

We ate there a couple of times and I thought the food was very good- that said, there arent any Cuban restaurants around here so I cant comment on its authenticity. I ate at Columbia once when I was a kid (the one in Tampa) and remember it being great. The music at Bongos was loud but not bad- I'd go there again~ Sheila

We really liked it! The food was very good and portions were "just right" to large. Service was friendly and competant. We didn't find it at all loud. The food was spicey but not "hot" spicey. You can order hot sauces and such on the side if you want that.

We're returning again next month and looking forward to it.

Oh, the prices were VERY reasonable.

My only complaint was the dinner rolls were standard run of the mill Parker Hosue variety. I wish they would offer true Cuban bread.

Ducklite, I agree about the lack of cuban bread. It would have been something little that would have made such a difference. Oh well. We enjoyed our meal here. There are different styles of latin food and having enjoyed meals in many different latin restaurants and even preparing a few myself, I thought it was delicious. There weren't any complaints from my dining companions either. I didn't notice the music being loud but we ate at Bongos after a full day at Disney Quest, which is noisy itself.
