down recently using I95 to 4? Just wondering about road conditions/construction. Friend from Florida suggested going over to 75 and then down to the Florida Turnpike.

Hi

This website gives you a book for I95 and you can find out where the construction is, tolls, and other thingshttp://www.usastar.com/i95/orderbook.htm
I hope this helps you. Good luck.

I will be driving down I95 to 4 the end of May

There will be many places under construction. I know on the way home we were diverted around richmond. At some points you will be in "cattle shoots". Only 1 place did we come to a complete stop due to construction delays, but I cannot remember exactly where. sorry.

It took 18 hours from philly to orlando, & the same on the way back. That is with bathroom breaks for 3 kids. Wife & I switched up driving & we did drive through meals to cut down on delays.

:worship: :happy2: I dont know were your driving from but if you take I75 please let me know. I'm driving down from michigan all the way done on I 75.

In GA 95 south between exits 87 and 58 there is alot of construction going on. You have to be careful and follow the 60 Mph speed limit. I saw a bad accident in mid March with a SUV that rolled over on this stretch of road. I drive about 40 miles down this road everyday to work and it seems like drivers just don't pay attention to the signs. There are alot of lane shifts and bumps, please be careful!

momof3disneyholics, HEY! I drive 95 from near Lake George to Savannah every day, too! I'm jealous that you're moving so close to WDW!

Is there still construction in Richmond, Virginia? We ran into rush-hour (6pm) over there. Not a rest stop in site. Overall 95 was good to us.

Just back from a DC to Orlando trip via I-95 and I-4. There seemed to be more construction on the return trip than on the way down. Maybe it's just because DC has warped me, but I did not find the construction to be causing actual traffic. Only two times I hit traffic were on the way back through Jacksonville (series of accidents) and from Richmond to Fredericksburg (early Friday rush hour). Do advise that you use the Richmond bypass as the interstate signs suggest.

Don't know where you're coming from, but if you'll be passing through the DC area, do be advised that there can be significant traffic on the I-495/I-95 portion of the trip. Suggest you avoid 7-9AM and 4-7 PM.
