Has anyone driven to their NYC cruise???

We live in western PA so we're going to drive to our Disney Cruise out of NYC. I don't want to drive in NYC at all. Can anyone recommend a hotel outside of the city that would provide a shuttle service to the port?

I live in northern NJ, and we drove to the cruise port in 2013. I’m not in the same situation as you, though, but it was a quick ride, comparatively- probably 30 to 45 minutes.
I did a quick search on Google, and it recommends the Hampton Inn Ridgefield Park hotel in NJ.

We stayed at the Residence Inn Weehawken- it’s right across the Hudson, we were directly facing the NYC skyline and all the cruise ships. True 2-room suite that sleeps 4, free breakfast, take the $30 for 4 people ferry (literally right in front of hotel) to Pier 78, Walk the 1/2 mile to pier 88 where DCL docks or take a taxi the short distance.

We stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ridgefield Park. We stayed there last year and are doing so again in a few weeks for our November cruise. It worked out great with the transportation and includes free breakfast.

We live in western PA, as well, and like @ArielRae have also used the cruise package at the Ridgefield Park Hilton Garden Inn. It is a great option for someone that isn't interested in exploring NYC prior to the cruise and just wants a nice place to lay your head the night before. It appeared to be a safe area, so we had no worries about leaving our car there, and the private transportation by town car worked very well. If we ever sail out of NYC again, I would definitely book there. It's a nice hotel in a safe location with easy access to the interstate.

ETA: Also - considering the price to park at the cruise port ($40 per day) the package can be a really great value, depending on the length of your cruise,.

We live in NJ and have driven to the port twice. It's really not hard to drive into the City to the port. There are plenty of options, as other have mentioned, over in NJ and then take the train or ferry in. You can always Uber from the ferry or train terminal to the port.
