the Disney photography package in the Magic Kingdom the morning after the wedding?
I just signed up to have it done, granted it'll be tough being picked up at 6:00 am the morning after the wedding but the thought of getting pictures taken at the castle and on the carousel more than make up for it

We haven't booked this ourselves but it does look very romantic and worthwhile to get up early to do.

Anyone can have a Magic Kingdom session, they are $725. You don't have to do yours the day after your wedding, either. Mine is scheduled for the day before our wedding, because we originally planned to go on a cruise that left the day after.

This is the text from the DPS flyer that was sent to me. I have bolded the titles for each session they list. There is not an MGM Wedding Session listed, but I am sure if you call, they will try and make one happen.

Since you are doing the Magic Kingdom portraits prior to your wedding, I just want you to be VERY, VERY careful with your dress. The grounds at Magic Kingdom are somewhat dirty and in the morning, the grounds are wet (I think Disney sprays the ground with water to clean it). After my MK bridal portrait session, my dress was stained with dirt. It was not an issue for me as I was already wore the dress for my wedding. However, had I not already walked down the aisle, I would have been very sad to have to get married in a stained dress.

Just be very careful! You will love the pictures!!

Thanks so much! I thought about that when we very first scheduled the session and I decided that we will just have to carry my train around and lay it out. I might even bring something with to lay on the ground, if I have to.

I have a call in to my EM to see if we can change the day to the morning after the wedding, but I'm not sure if it will be available.

I'm now seriously thinking about booking a Honeymoon package with Disney for MK - this is our favourite park and I think a private photo shoot at some of our favourite rides would be soo cool - I think the price is a good one too

I'm planning on doing my own hair (wearing it down) and makeup for the shoot so I won't have to get up at 4:00 am but I'll probably be up at 5:00 to try to get ready myself and have Rick help me with the dress. We have to do the pictures the day after since his tux will be picked up later that day.

We did our photos in EPCOT and they are our favorites of any photos we've ever done. It was fun to have a different photographer than our wedding, as each person has their own individual style and it is reflected in the pictures.

You might consider, if you have enough "tux time" and days after your wedding, doing your pictures 2 days after your ceremony. That way you don't have to get up early the next morning. We had a Friday wedding and did our photos Sunday morning. The flowers were still perfect and we got to sleep a bit later on Saturday, then got up early Sunday morning. Also, I decided to do my own hair and make up and it turned out great, it must have known there would be trouble if not! And our budget was used up, we couldn't afford to pay for another hair/makeup session without dipping into our honeymoon cash.

We too are having our pics taken in the MK! But we are doing it 2 days after the wedding due to the fact that we are having a character breakfast for our guests the next morning, and I know we are going to be shot the next day as well. I was relectant to do it but my fiance was really wanting it. Once I saw the photos that our EM had...DONE! where do I sign?! They were just beautiful and to have a photo like that is priceless. The 4AM wake up call is going to be rough, but we figured we could go back and sleep a bit...afterall we are on our honeymoon!

To DZNYBOUND about the dirty dress...THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE ADVICE! I was worried about that and expressed it to our EM and he kind of blew it off, but I knew better! I am going to bring a LARGE dropcloth with me! I don't want my dress stained, hope to make christening gowns for my kids out of it!

I would guess for a drop cloth you could either hit Home Depot and get a canvas painters cloth or use a spare sheet? 2 days after was a GREAT time for pictures. The day after the wedding we met everyone for lunch, then went back to our room to rest, we were drained and wanted to be together!

I got an e-mail back today and we are changing our MK session from the day before the wedding to two days after (the day after was booked), and I think it will be perfect!

I am also thinking I will just bring a cheap flat sheet with me, then it's throw away and I'm out $2. LOL!

If you're just honeymooning at WDW, getting married elsewhere...can you still do this? I'm beginning to seriously want to do this...

Anyone can do them, just call the number and schedule it. Keep in mind for the bridal session, tho, that it starts at 0600 and if you have Disney do make-up and hair it's $150 (beause of the early appointment) and a wake-up of 0400!
