Has anyone done this with the free dining promo?

I've been lucky enough to do the free dining the last two years. I'm hoping to do it this year, too.

I've been thinking about the Magic Your Way Premium package. What I was wondering is if you could apply the free dining plan monies and upgrade to the better plan for the cost difference? Would Disney give you $39/day adult credit towards the better plan if you go there in the same window of opportunity? This better plan is an enhanced version of the lower one.

Has anyone tried this from the past years of the free dining offer?

I love pushing the envelope.

I agree with Redwitch. Give it a shot, but the Free Dining Promotion never has been, and is not likely to be, negotiable in any way. Either you reserve that package, or you don't.

Okay, pick me off the floor....Disney actually offers a Free Dining Promo? Is this every year at the same time? When do they normally offer it? How soon can you make your reservation? Can you make your reservation now and apply it when they start offering it? Are there any strings attached? So many questions I know....but the shock of actually saving money on our next trip is quite attractive! If they indeed offer a free dining promo we might actually be able to stay at a moderate resort! Pinch me, I dreaming!

Disney has offered a "free dining" promo since 2005. It has typically been offered during peak hurricane season to bring more people into the resorts. This year Disney Visa cardholders can book begining on Monday. The general public can begin to book the promo on April 12th.
