We are thinking about trying the Mickeys Fireworks Voyage in Nov. Has anyone done it recently? I haven't seen much about it. Our boys are 4 & 7.pirate: Any input/pictures would be great! Is it worth the $160 for the four of us?

We just did this on 10/3 with our grandsons (6 & 10 years old). We all enjoyed it. The kids had a blast. We got little bandanas (red & white) but they are very small. Tied them around our wrists but I did see some people with them on their heads.

You enter a room with snacks set up....chips, cotton candy, chocolate gold coins, soda, water, coffee...and then Captain Hook and Mr. Smee come out for pictures. There are also other areas for picture taking with pirate statues and the kids are allowed to roam about and blow off steam.

There are two boats that launch. We got the Hook boat with Pirate Patch. He was a hoot and made the journey so much fun with trivia questions and jokes/songs. We pulled up to an area on the lake, stopped and WHAM - the Electrical Water pageant lit up and they timed it to piped in music. Nice touch. Then off to view Wishes from a great spot.

Back at the marina, Peter Pan was waiting and did a meet and greet.

The kids are still talking about this experience. :)

Do the pictures get added onto the photopass card? Or do you have to buy them as a package separate?

Thanks! Do they have someone there to take your pictures with your camera? Or do you have to split the group up?

We were probably on the boat for 1 hour and 15 minutes. And they stressed several times before launching that there are NO bathrooms on the boat! :) Our reservation was for 7:35 pm (Wishes was at 9pm) and we were done with everything by about 9:50 since we got in line for Peter Pan pretty quickly.

The boats are flat, covered things that seat about 60? people. Your group has a reserved row. People have expressed concern about a covered boat obstructing the fireworks viewing but it was not an issue.

Thanks!! I'm always a nightmare with bathrooms!! :rotfl:

60 people sounds quite a lot, do you all get a good view of the fireworks?

Has anyone done this recently? We are leeaving in 3 weeks:cheer2: for our DS's 7th b-day. pirate: I was thinking this might be something special to do. We booked Chef Mickey's @ 5 p.m. to make the 6:45 meeting time. I was wondering if it is worth the 180.00 or not. I can't seem to find any reviews on it. Any help/pictures/input would be greatly appreciated! We also have another DS who is 4.pirate:

Thank you for all your info.:littleangel: We are leaving on the Wonder the next morning so I thought this would be a great way to celebrate my son's birthday and use it as a kick off to our cruise!:woohoo: Is there anything else you would suggest us doing? The boys are doing the pirate lunch cruise the day before at the BC.pirate:

This sounds really fun! I just read about it on the Disney website. Is it $180.00 per person?

Now I wish I had not found this thread. This is yet another treat I want to add to the list for my nephews. If I keep this up I'm going to have to find a 2nd job just for all their treats. :faint:

The price is 53.99 for ages 9 & up, 30.00 for ages 9 and under. With taxes the priace came to 179.59 for the four of us. This includes a little snack and a photo op with some pirates.

That's how I feel. The Fireworks Dessert Party, T-Rex Build -A -Bear, Pirate Adventure Cruise, Pirate League, & Mickey & Pals Fireworks Cruise sure add up!

Do you have to have children to do this? It sounds like fun, but it is only myself (19) and my father going. Would you recommend it?

Anyone can do it, but I think Dissy would need to answer this. I heard about this from a CM who thought it would be fun. But, like I said I haven't been able to find out too much about it. My DH hates trying to gert our double stroller through the crowds :scared1:. I also thought this would let us see the fireworks from a different view. We live near the water and like to watch the 4th of July Fireworks on the water. I thought this would combine the best of both Worlds!:wizard:

T-Rex Build-A-Bear? Where is this? Tell me more please. Sorry to hijack this thread. :rolleyes1

Like I need something else to add to my ever growing list! I've also got the barber shop, $50 gift cards each, Kitchen Sink, hot air balloon ride at DTD (if they still have it when we go), pick a Pearl and some of the stuff you mentioned on my list. We also have breakfast at Ohana they they don't know about with just Aunt Chell & Uncle Larry while the mommies sleep in. After that we are taking them to the MK.

But it is fun! Seeing their faces light up when we talk about the plans right now makes my heart melt. I'm only telling them a few things. They don't have a clue what we have planned for them. The youngest would LOVE this cruise.
