Has anyone done the Grand Gathering at Tony's?

What can we expect? DSis booked us, and she keeps saying that we will "open the park" does this mean we will have something special to do concerning rope drop? I have never been to MK that early and don't know what to expect. I am guessing that breakfast will be about the same as everywhere else. Has anyone else done this?

Sorry, we haven't done it but we are planning to in November. I'm going to watch this thread for some info.

Anyway, the CM I talked with in Grand Gatherings (transfered from regular dining CM) said that it was only one seating time - 9 a.m. so I don't know how that could open the park since the park opens at 9.

She also said that it was available only on Wed. and Sat. Did you get one of those days or a different day?

We are booked for a Wednesday. We were told to check in at the main gate at 8:30, and that our names would be on a special list . I am sure other people get in before the park officially opens, to have breakfast at CP or CRT.
