My friends and I went to Supper Thyme last night. Basically you go & make up meals that you take home & freeze. They have all of the ingredients for 12 different recipes arranged at stations. Everything is pre-cut & chopped. You just mix up the recipe & go.
We had a blast ( hmmm, might have been the free margaritas) & I now have 12 meals put in the freezer for my family. Each recipe makes 4 to 6 servings & you can choose how to package it. With my family's busy schedule, this will be great for when the dd's need to pull something out to eat before dh & I get home.
I'm baking Cranberry Chicken tonight - I had sampled this at Supper Thyme's open house & it was GREAT! As much as my family eats out, I think having these pre-made options are going to really cut down on our food expenses.
Just curious if anyone else had tried this? It was fun, but I will admit I was pretty pooped after doing all those meals at one time (should be better before I do it again - hopefully my brace will be off).
