Thank you , That’s pretty cool you were the only person! They seem to get booked up pretty quickly when I looked last trip.I've done KTTK and Caring for Giants solo. KTTK was fine, and Caring for Giants I ended up being the only person on that tour, so I might have gotten more info than what they usually share since there was nobody else there.
I also do ABD tours solo, so doing these small tours at the parks solo is nothing compared to those trips.![]()
Thank you, I guess it’s the luck of the draw for what type of group you have. But like you said you anything Disney is always fun. Very jealous you got to go to d23 and Disneyland . Definitely on my bucket list!I've done all of the Animal Kingdom tours solo, behind the seeds solo, there was a magic kingdom tour I did solo but it's not Keys to the Kingdom - that one is still on my list to do.
Anyways - I had fun on all of them. Sometimes I had a group that wasn't as friendly (my 2nd time at Wild Africa Trek tour- I've done that 3 times) and I just ignored them and went about having fun anyways.
I always have fun at Disney. I want to go to Disneyland solo and was able to squeeze in a day once when I was there for a D23 expo solo a long time ago but my husband always insists on joining me there. LOL
I’ve done both solo and they were great!!The Rhino and elephant tours are on my list too they sound great.
Food is not part of those tours (not sure if that’s what you meant), but in general grabbing a snack and people watching is great too.It does seem like the meals are probably the worst part of it.
I did the rhino tour solo. It wasn’t that long and the guides talked throughout so I didn’t really feel like out of place. The only place I felt a little out of place was the restaurant in the pyramid in Mexico because the tables were so close together.
Of all the reasons I have come across for being uptight about solo traveling, that one is the most valid. I haven't been there solo but I have a number of times with others and even then the closeness is overwhelming sometimes. I can only image what it would be solo. I always felt that in order to not be pushed away it was important to synchronize your breathing so when the person behind you exhaled, you inhaled and vise versa. Slight exaggeration there but I did find it confining indeed. That one I understand!I did the rhino tour solo. It was really awkward at Coral Reef once. I was seated at a table for two, and right next to me was another table for two, so close that a couple inches closer would have made a table for four. Right after they seated me, they seated a solo gentleman at the next table, seated across from me. It seemed like they were trying to play matchmaker. I think he felt awkward too because he ate super fast and was out of there before I was half way through my meal. He may have been fun to chat with, but under the circumstances, I was glad to see him go!The only place I felt a little out of place was the restaurant in the pyramid in Mexico because the tables were so close together.
