We did two before buying into DVC and I am wondering if they have any cool aspects. We will have 28 people. Is there any ticket or any other discounts that I should know of.
Doing a grand gathering through DVC is the same as what you did before. No special tickets, discounts or events. Not everyone has to be staying at a DVC resort either.
Thank you for that information. Wouldn't it be great to get something cool for draging "HA,HA" your family to disney. If they have some ticket discount it could use the DVC owners to better drive additional revenue.
You do go through group reservations for dining reservations. The only GG specific event that we did with our group was Epcot's international meal. We didn't think it was worth it at all. However, the weather was very cold and so we did not get the full experience, and we were not given any "allowances" at all for not having the full experience. Something...anything would have been nice. Plus there was no seating in the area that we watched Illuminations, and it would have been welcomed by some of our guests. The party was for an 85th birthday.
It's no longer a GG specific event, but we did enjoy the Wishes Pirate cruise that was offered for GG. That was a great experience and we shared it with some fellow Dis'ers. You no longer have to have a GG to join it.
