i sincerely love this its like a fish scale in my opinion! its the best I've seen on this thread (I'm incredibly picky) i wish i had talent to do this to my band omg the blue just makes it even better!

Well if you can find the same duct tape you can have one just like it!

I am trying to convince my Mom that it is indeed okay to put rhinestones over the Mickey head on the MB. She won't take my word for it and wants to see video proof. Since she is going back to WDW before I go I can not make the video for her. Does anyone have or is anyone willing to make a video showing that it works? I want to decorate her band as a surprise- but she will be infuriated if I cover the head when she doesn't think it will work.

Thanks but no talent here....it is just duct tape I bought at Michaels. The band is actually orange.
The duct tape does not effect the sensor at all, it works just fine in the parks.

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a dig at me? I've never hid the fact that it is duct tape. Maybe you didn't mean your post to come off that way but the little guy rolling around laughing suggests it.

Multiple people here have put rhinestones of all sizes over the Mickey head and all have reported that they worked just fine.

I just had a cast member (who I'd called because our magic bands are going on a week of "being personalized - grrrr) tell me that paint over Mickey will interfere with the RFID. Not sure I believe her

I can't say first hand about tape or rhinestones, but paint over the Mickey Head is completely fine. My bands have several layers of paint and nail polish and have worked with no problems at all.

Same here. I don't have any with rhinestones but all of mine have either tape, paint, sharpie , nail polish or temp tattoos covering the Mickey Head and all have worked just fine in the parks and resorts. I do not use mine for charging at all so I can't speak to that but they work for everything I need.

Phone CMs are notorious for giving incorrect info, as is the case here. It will not interfere.

Yep, we had stones that totally covered the Mickey head, and we had no issues.

It doesn't I painted over all 6 of ours.

Which the exception of a thick piece of metal or a strong magnet, not much will stop an RFID signal. Unless of course you decide to decorate your magic band with a faraday cage.

No, not a dig at anyone. I know you have never hidden it. I guess this guy may have been more appropriate, just clicked on the wrong one, it happens sometimes when I try to type something real quick and my baby gets in the way.
