Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

Oh, I tried so hard to talk DS into green for Toy Story tattoos. But, he is six and stubborn! I considered telling him that they were out of red. But, I figured that he had to wear the band on his arm all week. He should have the color he wanted.

My DS is 2 so toy story is his thing now. What did you end up putting on your DS band?

The pink one is my DD (22), and the yellow one is mine. For my DS (6), I tried to put Toy Story tattoos on his red Magic Band. But, you can barely see them. I could scrap them off and do something else, but I need to talk to DS first. My older DS (19) hid his magic band so I wouldn't go all crafty on it. And, he insisted on getting gray. How boring!

Will it not come off with nail polish remover?

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ your bands!!!!

Great job!! What color did the purple one start out as? I'm trying to decide what's going to be the easiest to paint over.

Could someone please explain more about the temporary tattoos? I have seen the larger ones like you can buy and have applied to your skin at WDW. But the ones you are using would have to be smaller to fit on a magic band. Are the they same as nail art? Do they apply with water? Or are they more like stickers? Thanks!

From what I have read some have bought them online. I bought some at party city. They apply them as you normally would on the along with water. Other have used nail art. They then put a clear coat of nail polish to seal them. They say base coat is best to avoid cracking.

They are really sparkly in person. My girls loved them!!

Your yellow band is kinda what I have in mind for my green band. I am going to apply a few base coats, then the whole green part will have a few glow in the dark layers. The Mickey head will be painted purple, the grey outer band will be purple, and I am going to do lightning bolts in purple. I'll do the purple over the glow in the dark so it will have a 'negative lighting' effect. I love purple and green together. It's Malifecent/Mardi Gras.

I bought my tattoos from Amazon. They came in "books" with about five pages full of tattoos. The princess tattoos were large. But, I cut the princess heads off their bodies, and then put them on my magic band. The heads were a perfect size.

Here's are our finished bands. The red is my mothers, she found sandal stickers in the kids section at Joann's. Hers has about 4 coats of Sally Hansen top and bottom coat, to help hold the gems in place. It is basically double sided tape with crystals. Turned out pretty good. The Blue is mine. I tried several things but kept going back to the dots. It has 2 coats of the base coat on it. Both are still flexible, ( been bending and testing them) so far no cracking.

I did discover that the black nail polish would smudge when removing it. I finally took a scrubbie and nail polish remover and that got it off.

One more week and we will be in Disney world!!! And boy do I need a vacation.

Well I was unable to load the pics. Maybe I'll figure it out.

You need to have a few more posts before you will be able to do pics. I think it is 15 posts, so go chat and then come back and show us! :rotfl:

We got our bands today, and the good news is my sliders fit. The bad news is, they don't fit over both sides… just the side with the holes. I couldn't get the slider over the little prong things that attach to the holes. Also, my sliders fit on the adult bands perfectly, but are a little large for the kid bands. So it was sort of successful.

I measures and its 7/8ths or 22mm on the child band. Unfortunately I can't find any at that size. I have searched and searched and the only one I can find is a silicon watch strap keeper. I am going to keep looking though.

Can you tell me what kind of glue you used to attach the jibbitz to the band?
