Excited to share our creations! After pouring over all 47 pages of the thread, saving tips and being inspired and impressed with everyones ideas - we created our own! My husband and I are off on our "babymoon" the first week of April - and my brother and his girlfriend are popping down as well for a long weekend while we're there. So tonight, we all got together and decorated our bands together while talking about our trip! Im *SO* Thankful for everyones ideas and tips, and hope you like our contributions! xo

How did you get the white paint in the groove of the Mickey head outline to look so nice?

Thank you both so much!! That picture in post 680 helped to see it a little bigger than the small square of color on the Disney site. I still think it might be a little too limey, but maybe I could find a good nail polish to darken it up a bit?

I noticed at Walgreens that the Sinful Colors line (I think it was....) has out a whole batch of greens for St. Pats. I'll bet you could find one that you like. There were some solids and some glitters. Good luck! I just ran out of time to decorate ours, so I'm already planning what to do for fall break

1st of all, I LOVE all of those!

2nd, when I was doing mine, I lightly brushed the polish all around the Mickey head & it fell into the grooves itself. If I got some outside, I used cutips w/nail polish remover to get it off before it dried.

You used the fluffy-ended scepter of Qtip???? To remove the Polish of Nail?? Whoa..... Sorry, couldn't resist a Lego movie reference!

OMG I was just thinking about that when I got my letter from them in the mail today w/the stickers! They look like they might be a bit too big for the bands, though.

It was actually pretty simple. We just kind of followed suit with what everyone else was doing. We painted sloppily in the groove of the Mickey head, then took a QTip and cotton round, and (dipped in acetone) cleaned up around it. Because its raised, its actually pretty easy to do.

If anyone was curious - we had GREAT luck using the Hard Candy nail polish line at Wal*Mart. Their shimmer/glitter colors were super affordable and offered great coverage with tons of sparkle.

Every time I try to put on a clear coat, my polished and painted band (nail pens and oil based paint pen) keeps smudging. It's happened several times. I'm getting frustrated. I'm using a combo top / base coat, but I think it's the nail pen / paint pens that are the issue.

Help!

I knew I could customize ours because the info came in the thumb drive mailing we got the week before Christmas. I had the kids come in and we watched the videos. I didn't learn anything new I hadn't seen on the DisBoards, but anyone who got it would have that info. Maybe people who got last-minute orders didn't have a choice? We have until May 7th to customize ours- and we've done what we can so far. I have a red band ordered, but I really want purple. I saw purple listed on the Disney blog and somewhere else and I am totally bummed they don't have purple. So much that I'm going to write them about it, hoping by May they'll add purple. My eldest DD has blue, DS has green, the baby has pink and DH wants to keep grey (he'd get black if they had it).

As a Canadian I learned that the only people who get their mb's sent to them are from the States. We can order colours but it is a process and sometimes doesn't work so that may explain so many greys. So jealous of you all who can decorate them at home. I'd like purple too so hopefully they will add that in. Ero fl what video did you get. Not getting the mb's we don't get a video either
