I was looking at Expedia and the price is good, but how is their service? If I book throught them will they handle my Castaway club info or do I contact DCL directly? And last but not least does anyone have info in the romantic extras that can be added for a 4 night cruise, such a price and what's included?

Well I"m not a castawayclub member so I can't answer that part. I used expedia and their service is so-so. You have to wait at least 20 minutes on the phone before you speak to someone....but then again I think Costco is longer so it's all relative. Their prices are good but DU's can beat them. I didn't switch only because of the penalty for cancelling.

The reason I ask is Expedia has a good price for cat, 12, however I notice that there are only 13 cat. 12 rooms onboard. So I went to look at booking with them and they said that there might not be a room avaliable in the cat. sooooo I might get a free upgrade. Is this common with cat 12 rooms? It's just the two of us so the size of the room and location aren't all that important.

I did and found that while their price was OK, their service was lacking.

The biggest problem was them holding onto the cruise docs until just a couple of days before the cruise.

They said that they had alot of them in, but they were understaffed and trying to get them out as soon as possible.

DCL sent me a new set, and I got them the next day.

I booked another cruise onboard, and transferred the booking to Dreams Unlimited. They have provided me with excellent service so far......

Does anyone know -- when you go thru Expedia, does it have a no refund policy? I mean... if emergency comes up... are you out all you money?

I'm attempting to book a Disney Cruise. Oh what fun (not). So far... to book thru disney cost $31 more than to book thru a local travel agent. But... what I found on Expedia ... it is about $1,000 difference!!! So, I wonder if I'm not doing something right to come up with that much difference!!!

Any comments from previous experiencers would be appreciated! Now I'll pop on over to DU to see how it compares!

You may want to ask them if they included the taxes & port charges in their total. That is quite a difference.

Prices are usually per person so...just make sure you got the grand total and not the per person quote :D

The refund policy is the same as Disneys' I believe but on top of it there is a $50 cancellation fee. If you're worried about emergencies you may want to invest in some trip insurance. For such an expensive trip I think it's worth the extra $$ I went through worldaccess.com and it was $127 to insure myself and my two daughters using the "travel with ease plan". That will cover both my flight and my cruise and a few extras. (I'm spending 2 days at WDW beforehand)

I personally would not book with Expedia again. First, I have not received my documents (as of 3/26) for the April 10th Magic. Second, the service is poor. Third, you can find lower prices than Expedia.:(

I booked with expedia and didnt' seem to have a problem. I did however decide that I felt more comfortable hearing a live voice rather than booking online. The gentleman I spoke to was very courteous and knowledgable. Of course I haven't yet to receive my documents  but I booked very recently. The prices could not be beat with any other company I found for more than 50$....so....I took the chance. I guess we shall see!!
Also, the first price you see when you type in your dates DOES include port charges, however not taxes.

Just FYI.
Have fun and good luck!
