I have gotten points. I also have attempted to contact the board owners since IMHO I have seen some abuse by the mods. Emails just bounce back. This whole "point" kindergarden system is driving me away from the DIS and onto some other boards. I have always supported the board owners, but I did not really want to go back to elementary school. (ANd look at my signature. is it a big threat to take it away?)

I have never gotten a warning/points, but I did receive a PM from a mod once "suggesting" I change the title of one of my threads. I don't think I changed it though, since it was just a "suggestion."

I do feel slighted by the Tag Fairy though.

Awww, thank you. As long as I remember that I do have to use the DIS appropriate language over here that I didn't have to use on the private boards...
