Hi!

I have access to visit the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank and I'm thinking of planning a trip.
I was wondering what's there. Has anyone been and would like to share their experience.
I am not sure what is there or if there is something I should not miss out on.

Thank you!

:D

I've been there several times through D23 events. It is a working studio still, Black-ish has scenes there all the time. There isn't anything touristy about it. The Disney Archives are there, which have some amazing things in them, but you need an archivist to let you in and supervise you. There is a store, but it's pretty much just a Disney Store. The Legends Plaza is a really cool to visit, handprints and plaques of all the people that have been given Disney Legend honors. When we've gone, it's usually been for a screening of a new or classic movie. The theater is not a brand new stadium seating deal, but it's cool to be able to view films where Walt and the other animators first screened them.

If you're going as part of an organized tour, I would definitely do it. If you're somehow going just by yourself, I'm not sure I would. You really need someone to give you the history of it and point out all the offices and points of interest.

I agree with what @ImDMous said! Really cool, but you want someone to take you around & tell you what's what.

Good info. Thank you!

Do you happen to know if you need special access to see Walt's office? I heard is was recently renovated.
