Has anyone been to a "Day out with Thomas" event?

Hi! We went to it two years ago. My DS is a huge Thomas fan. He loved it. His older sister loved it, too. We drove four hours to get there. And, it was well worth the drive. Our tickets (which you definately need to get ahead of time) were first thing in the morning. When my DS first saw Thomas coming down the track...well, he was in total awww. The look on his face was priceless!!!! There were booths set up for face painting, balloons, tatoos, ect...but the hit is riding in Annie or Clarabell. It turned out to be a half day event for us. Not enough activities to keep us there all day.

Sara, thanks so much for your reply! I'm so excited to hear that your children enjoyed it and that it was worth the drive. ;

We will also be driving about 4 hours to see Thomas. I guess I'll be buying the tickets tonight or tomorrow. DS#2 and DD really want to go, DS#1 (almost 11 y.o.) says it will be boring (it doesn't matter because he is going) .

I just saw this post for the first time today. We've been to the "Day Out with Thomas" 2 or 3 times in Strasberg, PA. We really enjoyed it. We rode on a train pulled by Thomas, met Sir Topham Hat, got faces painted and had pony rides. My son used to be a Thomas fanatic, so it was a "must-do" for us. I think you'll really enjoy it.
