Has anyone actually thrown up on a ride?

I went on Primeval Whirl in AK for the first time because my DS wanted to go on and I did throw up but inside my mouth and just swallowed it. It had nothing to do with the heat only motion sickness. I 've gone on it again after that and was fine.

My sister threw up immediately after Expedition Everest. We pulled up into the station, I looked at her--she was green. The CM pointed her to an area to the side. She said that it was obvious others had thrown up in the same spot. We found a bench outside and we sat there for hours. I finally got a wheelchair from a CM inside the EE gift shop and wheeled her to the bus (and the CMs told us to take her to the bus and just leave the wheelchair in the parking lot).

Maybe TMI, but she said she swallowed it during the ride because she knew that my FIL and my DH would be the ones to get hit with it and she didn't want THAT.

My DBIL threw up on Dinosaur. It even came out on the photos that Disney takes. It was so funny; you can only see him hanging over the side, so it wasn't gross, just embarrassing for him and hilarious for us!

I've never thrown up on a ride, and neither has anyone in our family. I do have a story though.

My husband and I took (at the time) our two sons to Disney. We were at Test Track. We did the parent swap. I took our oldest on the ride first since he was the only one of the two tall enough to ride. My husband was waiting with my other son at the exit for us. As my son and I were exiting the ride and coming down the ramp to the area with the photos, my husband yells to me "Look Down!". Of course I was about 2 steps from stepping in the chunkiest puke I had ever seen. It made me so sick and the smell was overwhelming. I tried the best I could to not get sick myself. I said something to the lady at the photo desk and she said she called someone twice already to come clean it up. The area was not roped off or had any warning. You just came down the ramp and there it was. Well, I sat down with my youngest (at the time) and my husband went on the ride with my oldest son. As I was sitting there a woman came up with her small daughter and sat down and they were waiting for someone to get off the ride. They were on the other side of the room. Well, the little girl was playing around and the mom kept telling her to sit down. She did not listen and took off running. The mom got up and went after and and how she didn't see that huge puddle of puke on the floor, I don't know but the poor woman took one step into it and slipped and fell right in it. She had her bottom, legs, back and both hands in it. She laid there a second and then sat up and looked at her hands and looked around her and she FINALLY figured out that she has slipped in someone's puke! It was AWFUL! She was screaming and crying (and I guess I would have too!) and she started yelling at the lady at the desk with the photos. She told her just as she had told me, she already called twice to get it cleaned up. The lady was standing there covered all down her backside and hands. She was telling the lady that it was soaked all the way through to her underwear and thought that Disney should buy her all new clothes because she could not walk around all day like that. Finally someone came to clean up the mess and I have no idea where the lady went. Hopefully straight back to the hotel for a shower!

I am going to burn in hell, I am ashamed to admit. I just sat her in laughed hysterically at the last posters story. I know it is not funny but thank god I was not there I probably would not have been able to contain myself. With that said, I do feel horribly sorry for that lady though. It would have taken a lot for me not to feel like spanking my kid after that one. I have not thrown up on the teacups but I avoid them now. Because whats the point really if you can't spin. The spinning is to much. Star Wars tours made me a little nauseous. I let my family go the second time. Didn't try the spinnier version of Mission Space.

I am so cautious where I walk in Disney (and everywhere else too) because of stories like this. I know in Disney that kids (and adults, but usually adults can make it to the side out of the way) get over excited or even just overwhelmed, and they can't help it where they barf so I always watch where I am walking. I've seen so many people almost step in it at the monorail station because they aren't paying attention, they are trying to hurry to catch the train.

I am severly emetophobic, and am terrified to get on the rides because I am scared someone will throw up on me, and I was wondering, what rides have you guys throw up on??

And do you think it was motion sickness, heat etc??

And does it usually happen on the ride or after you get off of the ride??


** Thankfully, I went prior to my emetopobia becoming fullblown again and was able to enjoy the parks without fear, but during my honeymoon on my second trip back, it had become an issue. When I get on the rides,I try to sit in the back away from kids, and thankfull stuff like nemo and haunted mansion it can be me and hubby only.

When we were on Test Track, a girl got sick. The CM's were cleaning it up as we got off. But kids aren't the only ones who get sick. In fact, usually kids can handle motion better than adults. I know personally I can't ride anything that goes around like Teacups or Merry Go Round.

Viruses can also be a big cause of getting sick, regardless of heat or motion. I'm a daycare teacher so I've seen it all, but I feel badly for people who have a real, honest to god phobia.

I nearly lost it after EE, but I didn't..and I haven't seen anyone get sick either. I know if I did I would lose it too.

At DL I rode the Orange Stinger (swings that go round in a circle), afterward I had to go back to my room and lie down all afternoon!

I have never (and I am somewhat prone to motion sickness), and have never witnessed it either in the parks.

However, it does remind me of a really, REALLY gross story. We got married at WDW about one year ago. The day before our wedding, I was at AK with my DF and some of my family members. I had to go back to the hotel room to meet the woman who would be steaming my wedding dress, while my DF and family stayed in the park. I left almost an hour to get back, but I had to wait about 30 minutes for the bus back to the resort. Finally the bus arrived and I was the only person to board. I saw a man and his daughter approaching from the distance and the driver let them on the bus as well. They sat down across the aisle from me. The driver started the bus, and all of a sudden the girl threw up all over the floor of the bus. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO disgusting. Thankfully none of it got on me! I felt bad for her, but I was in a rush, and immediately moved up to the far front of the bus. The driver had to rush around getting something like sawdust... and then decided to skip the trip to Typhoon Lagoon and get the girl back to her hotel room.

So the point of the story is I think it's more likely to happen when they eat too much food... not so much from the rides themselves.

This is why I take Bonine in the mornings at the parks. And I still avoid the spinning rides!!

I have never seen vomiting, but my DS pooed his pants at LTT. Of course he was 21/2 and was training. I will never forget that!!!. I thought he was smiling at me, turns out he was ina way!To this day whenever we go there he has use the bathroom!! At least he doesn't use his pants anymore

shoot forgot to write my experience. While none of us have been sick. While waiting for the bus to go to DTD there was a man who got sick on the bus and we had to wait for the bus driver to clean the mess up before we got on the bus. Another time we were on the bus going to MK and a man got sick on the bus the whole way there (that was really disgusting, I had to look out the back of the bus the whole time). To make things even better my youngest son kept telling me that the man was puking, and it was gross.

I've had motion sickness my entire life, but have only thrown up twice from it, and both times were because of the medication that was supposed to help me. I also have never seen ANY puke in WDW or DL or DLP. I think they are very good about cleaning it up. From the stories on here, it sounds like it's more likely on a bus than on a ride...I think as many have suggested that it's usually from the heat, dehydration, excitement, eating sugar all day, and potential viruses than any rides, so you'd have to avoid the parks or any large outdoor crowd for that matter to avoid any risk.

My DS did it twice. The first time he was four and we had to make a quick exit (I actually had to pry the door open) from Muppetvision 3-D. He had a problem with how loud the theater was and ended up tossing his cookies in the bushes just outside the exit. The second time was when he was six and we were at the MNSSHP. He had ridden HM before, but it made him nervous at night and he ended up throwing up in his trick or treat bag while we were on the ride. Good thing we hadn't hit any of the treat stations yet and we were able to clean him up and get a new bag.

I haven't, but on this past Monday, apparently someone lost it on Space Mountain around 2pm-ish. Us girls were in line to meet Ariel but the guys met up with us and told us they closed it to clean it supposedly!

A guy who was sitting next to me on Mission Space got sick afterwards & threw up almost immediatly after getting off. My friends & I asked if he was ok but he seemed really embarassed. I felt so bad for him I've seen a few others get kind of out of it after coming off of that ride too. I think it really depends on the person. You're NOT supposed to close your eyes on it but the fan was blowing right in my face & it was drying my contacts & causing my eyes to burn. I just had to close them & I was so dizzy getting off & I can pretty much handle anything!
