Has anybody flew Spirit Air?

Just learned about this airline thru the Dis boards. How are they ? I am use to flying US Air.

We've flown with them several times with a trip scheduled this June. We fly out of Detroit and so far have never had any problems with Spirit. Very friendly personnel.

Just back from a trip ACY to MCO. NO problems. Flight home was on the newer plane, all leather seats, roomy. (Flighjt down was on their older plane, it has the cloth seating, a litle more cramped). We were told that older plane is almost phased out of the fleet though. NO TVs like Jet Blue or Song. Flying out of Atlantic City is SO nice. Next trip I am out of JFK, UGH.

I have flown Spirit a few times. I have not had a problem with them. I have used them for Vegas and Orlando. My coworker just got a job as a flight attendant and was told that they are expanding the cities they travel to. Hope they can keep up the lower fares!!!

I flew back with them on President's week, & it was a great uneventful ride, just the way I like it.

Would fly with them again

We just returned from a Detroit to Orlando round trip and it was completely uneventful, just like it should be. Both flights were on time, no delays, nice newer planes, friendly staff and check-in system was not crazy like I had experienced just before 9-11. I will definately use them again.

Only one issue might stop me... however.... with Magical Express, Northwest (their main hub is here in Michigan) is a participating airline and it would have been nice to check in at the hotel vs. the airport. Price, in the end, will probably win the battle!!

i just flew with them from ny to orlando and back in march. i also flew in one of the newer planes. they have decent fares and great service.

I don't know anything about Spirit but this....just rec'd my Passporter newsletter today. A brother and sister that work for Jen and Dave are gone to WDW now on a $16 round trip ticket! Can you believe that? $16 rt from Detroit to Disney World!!!
