Has anybody ever booked a room through Expedia.com?

I found a really good rate (or what I thought to be anyway!) on Expedia for Polynesian. $179/night for garden view. Is this a good deal or not? I'm new to this so I'm not absolutely sure! Also, if you've booked through Expedia.com, has it gone okay? Any problems, mess-ups with reservations, or anything like that?

While not through Expedia, I did book our WDW hotel through Travelocity last year. I was able to get a fabulous room for 6 adults [well, 2 adults and 4 teenagers] at the Disney Institute. Everything went very smoothly except that they didn't send me a confirmation and I was paranoid that something would go wrong. After a phone call, everything was cleared up and I had my confirmation in hand, everything went smoothly. I have booked other hotel stays through Travelocity without problems and would do so again in the future.

I reserved a room through Expedia late last year for January 02. Disney Institute, great rate, and we enjoyed it. No problems booking with them. I have ordered airline tickets through them also.

Though I have not used it for WDW rooms, I have booked hotels on Expedia several times for other trips. The receipt/confirmation is given to you on line when you book and you just print it out and take it with you. Have never had any problem with it. $179 is a good rate.

What time of year is this rate? I just booked next June @ 381 incl. tax. :( Impatiently waiting on codes.

Hi, I just booked one night AK, Savannah view for $179/night through Expedia. It was a piece of cake. We are going to arrive a day earlier than planned, so I was looking for something neat and Expedia had some awesome deals.

We successfully used Expedia to book a discounted room at CSR for 01/02. We even received a call directly from Disney offering an upgrade to the Poly for $99 (which we obviously accepted.)

We weren't so successful using Expedia when trying to book our Veterans weekend trip. Several resorts appeared to be available, only to find that they really weren't when it came time to put down the credit card deposit. We ended up booking through CRO for this next trip.

The bottom line, however, is that I wouldn't hesistate to use Expedia again. That $179 room at the Poly is equivalent to the current CKO special, so I'm guessing that you had better book it before Monday, September 23 (the date the CKO expires).

Hope this helps.

We booked thru Expedia for our trip--We leave tonight!! I got such a good rate we upgraded to concierge--the extra price turned out to be like $13 pp per day--My boys can eat way more than that ;) We also got a good deal on Royal Pacific Resort at US--we are staying there the last 2 days of our trip.
