Has any one gotten an AP rate for deluxe on Nov 8-9?

I posted this on a couple of other threads, but no one has remarked that they have gotten Ap rates for deluxe over that weekend. I have seen AP rates for Moderates and below, but no deluxes. I want to check back to see if they become available, but if they never were available, it will save me time.

I called this morning and was told that there are no AP Rates for deluxe resorts between 11/4 and 11/9. The CM told me that there were AP Rates beginning 11/10. The CM also said to try back every couple of days to see if something opens up.

I got a rate of $170 GV from 11/9 ~ 11/14 at the Poly, but that was at about 7:45am this morning.

The reason the deluxes are gone is Super Soap Weekend which is November 8 & 9. When they release the Soap dates, they start setting up packages for the weekend. So they are holding rooms for packages. Also, the soap stars generally stay in deluxes, hence the rooms go quickly. Keep trying though because you could slip in when a room is cancelled or you could try AAA.com. You never know!

When I called this morning (around 9:00am), the Contemporary still had Tower rooms ($229) and Water View Wing rooms ($199) available, but it was the only one.

Congratulations!!!!

I had no luck, unfortunately. I ended up booking WL at the AAA Rate of $169.00. The CM said I should try everyday for the AP rate, so we will see.

BTW, which resort did you end up getting??

I got the AKL at AP rate for 9-13 (which is a very busy weekend) and the BC 13-16 at the AP rate! The 8-9 is so busy because the Food and Wine festival is on going, plus the Festival of the masters, and the Super Soap weekend. I'm going to keep trying to get the 8th as well, but seven out of eight nights at AP rate is great anyway you look at it.
