booked a land sea , but had seperate reas to stay at resort a day early , ?
if so when did you do your docs? ? the next morning when you rechecked in under your new reas?

Yes, you will need to check-in again when your land/sea starts officially. Also, you'll need to claim your luggage once your flight lands.

You don't **need** a separate ressie to add an extra night to the room portion. If you book the room through DCL, you only need to check in once. Just tell DCL or your TA that you want an extra night.

i tried doing it thru dcl and they said no , so i booked thru central , looks like i will have to recheck in can i do that any time after mid night? the reason for going early was to get to the park early the first day of the package?

The earliest you can check-in is 7AM. That is when the computers are updated for that days check-ins before that they probably won't have your information in the computer. When you check-in the day before tell them (and have your DCL reservation linked) so you won't have to change rooms. They will tell you when to re-check in but I don't think it can be done until the AM. I'd just get up, get ready for the parks and then go downstairs to do the re-checkin process and get your passes. At that early hour there should be little to no wait and it really will only take a few minutes.
