Has any Annual Passholders gotten their magic bands yet?

FWIW I have had a VERY hard time using MB for parking. BRING YOUR OLD AP CARD.

Sometimes they just wave you through. Sometimes they ATTEMPT to scan Magic Band. Sometimes they simply refuse and demand a regular AP card.

YMMV.

Oh absolutely! Until they get this mess straightened out, I'm definitely bringing my AP with me whenever I go.
 
Ok, Ds and I both have AP. We both used bands in Feb. On MDE it still has mine listed as active but had me update his for whatever reason. I only have the option to ship his.

What does this mean? Do I need to deactivate mine and get a new one? I'm assuming this means his is already deactivated? It's strange because it's listed in one spot just as mine is but it gave me the option to customize it as though it's been deactivated. I'm not explaining this well but it's really confusing. Help?
 
I'm sure somebody must have explained it before, but couldn't find the info.

My bands are all showing up in My Disney Experience, with the right names and colors, but I have no idea when they "ship". Under status is shows nothing, just a blank space ...

I noticed somebody here even had the tracking number, how did you get that???

I did not get an email that the bands had shipped and there was no tracking info on MDE. On MDE, the generic information under status ("magic bands will ship mid-March") disappeared and four days later my bands were delivered. If the status is blank, I would expect you will get your bands soon.

You don't have to deactivate one band for another band to work. I currently have six bands and three cards that are all active on my account and can be used interchangeably. When your son's AP band arrives, he will be able to use this one and the previous one. Nothing is on the band, it is just a way to access the account. You can deactivate a band if you want to, but there is no real reason to do so.

As for your son getting an AP band and you not having the option to do so, I would guess Disney is still bringing all AP holders on board. It seems like they are doing this in waves. You might try calling if you aren't given the option in a few days.
 

I guess we'll both be doing the phone run around this afternoon. I'm so frustrated I'm about ready to cry :sad:

eta: the person on the phone said a few other people have been having this problem as well. They said that our magic bands or annual passholder cards should work for parking. They do not have a date as to when the cards can be replaced for the right ones. They said they do not have the yellow cards at guest relations at the parks to correct the problem yet.

Let me know if you here differently.

OK, just got off the phone with them. You are right, there are a lot in this boat. wrong discount card and wrong expiration date - he said to just carry the old passholder card and ignore the new black card. So that is my plan.
 
What number are you guys calling for guest relations? Wrong card and date here as well. :(

We got Black Discount Cards in error also. We also got a Gold Discount Card that belongs to someone else.

Our current passes expire 6/1, so it's not really worth it to call about the error with the discount card. They will hopefully have this straightened out by the time we renew.

I called the passholder number 1-407-560-PASS, but then got passed around to a bunch of different people...ticketing, internet support, etc.
 
You will receive an email and also a yellow button of notification on your MDE when you log in to let you know your bands have shipped and you will be provided a tracking #.

Ours arrived yesterday, but I never got an email notifying me that they had shipped, neither did I have the yellow button on MDE nor a tracking number. They just showed up! What a nice surprise! :cheer2:

My expiration date is off by one day, though.

Maybe it belongs to someone here! :rotfl2: You could send it on to its rightful owner since they don't seem to be able to fix them!
 
i may have believed that the post office lost my other magic band they were both shipped the same day and only one arrived yesterday with the other one still sitting at electronic shipping received.
 
I've posted this under another thread before seeing this one but I thought it was weird that my roommate got his yesterday in my name & I haven't received mine yet. It was addressed to me b/c I've been scheduling things for both of us in MDE & I customized for both of us on the same day. I really hope mine will be here in a separate box soon. I see there's been some mixing up of passholders' names/cards on here? Ay Yi Yi :rolleyes2
 
We got ours today as well as another family member got theirs. I did not receive an email notice that ours were shipped, but family member did. My MDE status went from "preparing to ship" to blank for the last 3 days, then bands arrived on doorstep today. We've had Florida Resident APs for several years and our green (w/characters) pass showed "parking" on it. Today's mail: our magic bands came with black cards instead of yellow. They do not say "parking" on them, but back says to show card for all AP discounts. The other family member did get the gold card like previous post and does have the word "parking" on it. Did two of us get the wrong cards? The three APs are exactly the same, so not sure why the cards w/the magic bands aren't all the same. Just wondering if anyone else could shed some light on this before I have to call I.T. or whatever.

I order 4 annual passes and 2 10 day passes over the phone with member services. Member Services gave me will call #'s and as told, I added them to our MDE reservation. I then had to link which pass to which individual within our reservations. No problem:thumbsup2.
My question is when I was talking with the member on the phone ordering my passes, he indicated my preference as "will call" instead of the $0.00 shipping option. I stated I'd like them shipped he said I'd still have to go to will call anyways if I received them for discounts? On MDE they are all customized and should still ship to me prior to our trip but what he was referring to for will call? Is that the cards you are all mentioning in gold or black with AP indicated on them:confused3? I'm interested in knowing if they will come with our MB and sliders too?
 
Got mine today with the wrong name on the gold card. Almost right expiration number by 1 day. The name on the card is a very strange name that I can't pronounce. It actually looks line dome typed with their fingers on the wrong keys. I did both mine and my dh on the same day but just saw his was preshipped yesterday and mine last week.
