Has Anna and Elsa split had a positive effect on wait times?

I'd be shocked if A/E aren't meeting together at the hard ticket parties this year.

They really should have a door between them.

Anna....GO AWAY

I had no idea they were split up. Wow! Glad I am prepared. Hopefully my girls won't notice.

Would be hard not to notice....Anna is in one spot, and Elsa is in another. But, they are only about 10' away from each other.
My big issue? It was nice to get a photo of them together. Now, you have to get two photos.

Thanks for all the replies. I would really be interested in more observations of actual wait times.

Just returned from trip- 2 days we were at MK and walked by the Hall the wait ranged from 65-140 minutes. we used FP+ (although it was late at night during parade and Wishes) and waited about 10 minutes. The SB wait was still > 1 hour at that time. SDMT wait is ridiculous as well - never less than 90 minutes (and it is a short ride-definitely not worth >hour wait time). Color me a fan of the FP+ system.

Geez I hope not. Just what we need are Halloween and Christmas parties being sold out every single night they are going on. The MK has become a zoo since A&E showed up. At least party nights are usually manageable. Leave them out of the parties PLEASE!

Every other new high profile character they have added has also been included in the parties. I'm not a fan because if I can see them during the day, I don't want that to be what they add new to the parties. I prefer more exclusive stuff, which seems to be harder and harder to find.

Exactly. Why not have some different characters out for the parties? Who wants to see the same ones you can see already during the day, especially ones that clog the park during regular hours?

I would consider it an epic fail if the girls were not out during the Christmas party....whether they are together or with additional member of the cast or not remains to be seen of course...

Sadly, an epic fail from Disney would not surprise me.:confused3

I am disappoint to hear about this at first. But then, my older is into Elsa and younger one is in the Anna camp. May not be bad for them to meet the princesses separately.

I was there from the 22 - 28. I noticed wait times from 60 to 120 minutes. Nothing like what was previously posted. On Friday, three of us had FP+ for late afternoon. I did not want to rush from Epcot, so I checked to see if I could move them until later. When I first checked, nothing was available. I checked about 10 minutes later and two times were available. I changed mine until 8:00PM and let the other two in my party know. They copied mine and were able to change theirs. However, when it came time to use them, their FP's had disappeared, mine was still there. We had to get out of line and find a CM with the clipboard. She was able to fix it and we all met together. The line when we went in did not appear to be too long and I think it may have said 90 minutes but it did not look that long. Other members of our group met on a different day and we all shared the Memory Maker. Their A&E were different than ours.

It could be worse. We might have Anna and a visiting princess on one side and Elsa and a visiting princess on the other side.

I am sure there has been a positive impact on the number of pictures purchased- looks like I'll be in for two pictures now instead of one .. Whomp whomp whomp

We were there last Friday, 6-27, and got there at rope drop and followed the crowd to Anna & Elsa. We waited just under 20 minutes to see them, they were in the same room, but across from each other. First we saw Anna and talked to her, and got pics, then we saw Elsa , talked to her and got pics. My youngest 6yo daughter enjoyed it, but not as much as I though she would. We didn't prepare her for it very much, in case the line was going to be unbearable I didn't want to disappoint her, so we didn't tell her about it until rope drop. She liked it, but was a little shell-shocked I think to really appreciate it. It's so hectic getting there and then it's only a couple minutes and bam you're done. Her face was filled with amazement though. My older 11 yo daughter wasn't as impressed, she thought Elsa had a bad wig; it did look kind of funny.

The rest of the day when we passed by the wait seemed to be 90-110 minutes, not nearly as bad as the 180-240 minutes we had heard about in the past month or so. The opening was madness to get there, but maybe some of the mid-day craziness settled down. Although 90 minutes would have been too long for our family to wait.

I would say yes, the wait times have gone down. I'm not sure if this is due to splitting up on opposite sides of one room, or having more than one set of sisters doing M&Gs at the same time (they have to have multiple sets, since people who were not in line in front or behind us were coming out of another door at the same time we were and talking about how they just met them). We were there from 6/22-6/28 and the longest wait we saw was 120 minutes, with the average being 90. The mornings were the worst, so I'd say skip them first thing and wait until at least late morning/afternoon. It was only 30 minutes at 12am last Thursday night. We spent all but one day in MK and my husband and youngest daughter rode the carousel approximately eleventy billion times, so I had ample opportunity to check the A&E wait times. :)
