PKK/MJK said:It might seem a little odd at first, but as the mom of a CM I know how VERY important it is for the CMs to receive good comments/feedback from the guests!!! It's always so easy to complain when things go wrong, but we frequently don't take the time to send words of praise when things go well. Perhaps the CM was just trying to let you know that compliments are most definitely welcomed and needed--but maybe she didn't present that information in the most discreet, tactful way. I'd give her the benefit of the doubt and report her good work to Guest Relations.
Hi, not to HiJack the thread but quick question for you or anyone who knows as it's just something I'm curious about.
For the last several years going down, I've been buying "What Would Walt Do?" pins (check here if you don't know what they are: http://www.whatwouldwaltdo.com/)
Both me and my son loves giving them out to CM's. We usually buy a few each trip and pass them out to CM's who seem to be really making a difference. My question is this, we usually just hand them to the CM then leave. I know they really like them and appreciate it but do they get the same kind of "credit" for getting them as if I turned them in somewhere and left it for a supervisor to give it to them?
Personally, I perfer doing it in person. It's fun to see someones face light up when you make their day and my son gets to see that as well. Plus I'm just not good with names and I often can't read those name tags unless I just got really close and that would look like I was stareing or something.
I hope that after I give them the pin, they can take it to their supervisor and just say "Look what I got today while working" but I'm not sure that it works like that.
