Hartford to MCO, how much can I expect?

I am really nervous that I have not allowed enough money for the airfare portion of our trip. Of course, I plan to try and get a cheap fare if possible, a Ding would be good, but I am wondering if anyone has ANY idea what I might be able to get round trip to MCO at the beginning of May for? I have heard people get these incredible prices from here where I live, but I am wondering about an actual amount I could shoot for.

Any thoughts?

I have booked with Song for 5/6-5/12/06 out of Bradley to MCO. I paid $146, but that was months ago and using a $29 credit I had. Since then, fares have gone up alot, but hopefully SW will be offering a deal as time gets closer. I know I've seen the $49 fare come out in March for May on SW, but this year fares don't seem to be as low. I'm happy with anything below $200 per person these days.

There is a thread in this forum on the history of Ding fares. It was started in November, but it will give you an idea of what has been offered recently from your city to MCO and the available DING price. It will help you plan. You might want to subscribe to it so you get notified when the Dings are released. You can even help us watch and post them if you see them first.

I've flown SWA using a Ding for $49 each way. That's what I'm doing Wednesday!!!!! :cool1:

Once I saw a fare sale for $39 each way. That was maybe a year ago.

I've found Song/Delta to be cheaper than SWA, but that me (I personally cannot stand SWA airlines, but thats another thread). As was mentioned, if you find anything under $200.00 grab it.

Don't know if you're close to Worcester, but Allegiant Air has started a Worc/Sanford flight for 59 each way. I haven't flown them yet, and they do fly into Sanford, not MCO, but it might be worth a look.

I am hoping delta goes down on prices because that is the airline I prefer. I only like to pay about $200 per ticket. I think right now airlines are high priced because a lot of people have been traveling (or so they say). I think after the holidays, prices will drop.

You just missed a great Ding fare on Christmas Day. Had flights booked for $355.00 for two of us originally the Ding cut the price in half. Ended up paying $177.00 for two of us, direct flights round trip Hartford to Orlando. Those are for flights until Feb. 16th. Keep watching, if your trip is beyond those dates, you still may hit something, although if you're planning on Presidents week you may be out of luck for something that cheap.

Good Luck

Or Stewart in NY might be do able for you...there are $59 flights for May...FRI to FRI

I agree with the $200.00. I will not pay more then $200.00 (inc. tax) round trip.
If prices are higher we usually drive. I don't like to fly AT ALL, so this is just an excuse for me... :confused3

$176.50 r/t is what we typically pay, but I follow hte ding fares and check frequently. Lately, best r/t is $118 including taxes.

take anything right around $200 round trip. $175 round trip is the typical "low" fare.
