This August, my family is visiting Disney World. I would also like to go to Universal to go to harry potter world. So I have a couple of questions.

1. What type of park ticket do I want?

2. What is there to do in HPW?

3. Are the rides there considered "thrill rides"? I don't like roller coasters and heights kinda scare me and my family.

Thank you so much!

1) Depends on what you want to do. If Wizarding World of Harry potter is your aim, than you are looking at Islands of adventure and a one day,one park ticket.
2)It is not that big an area.it is comparable to a land at the Magic Kingdom..There is the signature attraction inside the castle- Forbidden Journey..It is a motion simulator/ride that has 3d elements and animatronics.Dragon Challenge- Is a duel inverting roller coaster .Flight of the hippogrif - is a tame kiddie coaster and Ollivanders wand show/shop along with a few other shops/restaurant. You also have the 2 mini- shows- The Frog Choir and the Triwizard Pep rally..That is about it..If you don't like thrill rides, or if you get motion sick easily, you may not like the rides

if you visit parry hotter in august, it will hot and crowded.

unless you go the last week of august but it still will be hot.......

go to www.universalorlando.com to check out parry hotter and the other parts of IOA.

go early to the parks.
arrive prior to opening time.

that section of the darkside will become very crowded as the day grows.

the front large merch store at IOA, does have some potter merchandise in case you don't hit the shops at the back of the park.
