Anyone going tonight? :wizard:

Would love to hear reviews!!

Have to finish :rolleyes1 re-reading the book first before I "let myself" go :rotfl:

Have reserved seats at the Oakville-VIP theatre tomorrow at 3:15!!!!!!!!

It's hard for me, my kids aren't fans (what's up with that? lol). But I'm away on business next week, so probably Monday or Tuesday (anyone know an IMAX in west Montreal off the metro?).

Also, we're planning to visit the wizarding world next year, no set date. Thinking of xmas, limited choice 'cause DW is a teacher. Too bad Halloween is off the table :(

Think I'll get some crystallized pineapple for a movie snack.

Be seeing you,
Brad

going wednesday night! Can't wait! :cool1::cool1:
i atempted to read the book again....but i can't wait, have to see it right away!

I never re-read the book just before seeing the movie..makes me too critical.:confused3

We re-watched all the movies and have our tickets for the 6:30 showing tonight!!!

We are leaving tomorrow on a camping trip and I have so much to do...but I'm thinking the 1040pm showing. We had no midnight here last night or I would have gone. I don't think i can go on vacation without seeing Harry!popcorn::

I'm waiting for the weekend - we will go to the 11:30am showing on Sunday - always seems to be the least crowded!! Re-read the book a few weeks ago and we've re-watched the first 5 movies!! Can't wait!

When JK released the last book she said at some point she would release the 'after' book so we can find out what happens with all the characters..... any clue when that 'some point' is going to be??

Next to Disney, DS LOVES everything Harry Potter! ;)

We have tickets for Saturday at Silvercity Burlington.

I know I'm crazy but I will do my best to wait till next month.:scared1: I just hate sitting in a packed theater.:confused3

Me too! We also have a local theatre which is not 'first run' but I really like it - only 2 screens and very quaint (and cheap!). I am hoping it will come there shortly.

OK - I just lied.....this is why I don't listen to my husband! I swear he makes things up and then professes them to me as absolute fact! The theatre does in fact have HP playing (na na DH) and hopefully we will go some time this week.

Brad, what is wizarding world?

Realized last night that I had given the Half Blood Prince to a good friend's daughter immediately after finishing it, so am off the hook :rotfl2:

We re-watched all the movies and have our tickets for the 6:30 showing tonight!!!

Oh, I love this idea! Which movie :wizard: is the best?

Saw it today..it was good, not great for me, though my DD25 thought it awesome so there you have it!!!!

I did like that this one had some humerous moments amongst the heavy stuff though:confused3

Saw it last night and loved it. Very different from previous movies.

Interesting to see a shift in some of the characters to the forefront while others move into the background. Wow... these kids aren't kids any more!

Daisy... I absolutely could not pick a fav from the Potter movies. I'll wager a few galleons that Deathly Hallows 1 & 2 will be the best!!!

We are planning for the weekend some time but not sure when, cant wait though. My DD (11 soon to be 12) is doing a Harry Potter birthday this year. I googled it and came up with incredible ideas with the invites reading "you have been accepted to hogwarts etc.. classes will include potions, divination, transfiguration and defense against the dark arts". We are doing all kinds of themed games including a quidditch match and the kids all get golden galleons with which they can "buy" their loot bag supplies at Honeydews and Zonkos. Daisy, Wizarding World is a new "island" at Universal that is Harry Potter themed poised to open between Dec/09 and May/10. If you go the Universal boards, there have been some threads with construction photos etc...Also, link through www.mugglenet.com to the Universal site and there is an email sign up for new info, contests, etc...

We saw it yesterday at noon. There were only about 20 people in the theatre. We all thought they did a great job and everything ran very smoothly together.

I, too, can't wait for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter to open at Islands of Adventure (Universal Studios Floriday). It is looking fantastic so far! Hopefully it is ready by this time next year!

Yeah, @damo has the facts on the wizarding world.

I posted elsewhere this morning that the wizarding world should have an interactive show for children similar to Disney's Jedi Academy, Pirates tutorial, princess tutorial, etc.

Have a wizarding class for beginners, dress the kids in robes and give them wands. Say, an intro defense against the dark arts course. Then have some Death Eaters show up to do battle! Or perhaps a competition between houses or something. Or Dumbledor could teach the class, battle Voldemort, and Harry could show up to drive Voldemort away. This thing writes itself.

I gotta tell ya, it was a real big vicarious thrill to see my daughter as a padawan at the Jedi Academy. :thumbsup2 But I was so disappointed when she refused to turn to the dark side and RULE THE GALAXY at Vaders' side. :sad2: I could've been set for life! :cool1: ...wait... maybe she made the right choice after all. :rolleyes1
