Harry Potter Ride Return Tickets

that process has been used since the ride opened.
it will only happen when full capacity has been reached.

the return tickets won't work when conditions are normal and the capacity level has not been reached.

I certainly hope that we never have to deal with this but thanks for the information. I'm wondering...if the return ticket process is in use then can you still bypass the whole mess using Amity Avenue? I'm assuming that it's still an open through way.

if the potter section is closed due to capacity, you are let in when the TM's state that level has changed.
if it is just the ride section, you can cross over the bridge to get back to DA
and you could go thru the central park area near Mels, which is the long way to get back to DA.

i only have seen this system used during the time period when potter first opened.
maybe it lasted a week or less.

it does happen during the period after christmas and high seasons.
have not read about it happening during the summer last year.

I don't believe that system has been used in the past year. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I don't know about the week from Christmas to New Years but I was at Universal in the Evening on January 2nd and return tickets were not in force for either Diagon Alley or Hogsmead. Hogsmead had quite a few days back in 2010 but like Damo and others have said, Diagon Alley hasn't needed it since shortly after the area opened.
