For a Saturday matinee with my 10 & (almost) 12 yr old sons. None of us of seen either. A teacher read my class Narnia in 6th grade - other than that, no one has read either book. The boys have seen all of the previous Harry Potters and actually would like to see both.

Isn't this like comparing apples to oranges? Or Star Trek to Star Wars? The first may both be fruit & the second both Sci-fi space movies, but essentially both different. :scratchin

Narnia... by a mile. Of course I much prefer that series of books to HP. I thought Narnia was an incredible movie. I went with a group of kids about your kids' age and older, and they all loved it.

Have they read the harry potter books? The movie is ok for a movie based on a book, but great for theatrical value. You will probably be kinda lost if you haven't read the books though. Narnia is good too, easier to see if you've not read the book. (I read the book and didn't like it, but the movie was ok even with that fact)

They are both really good. We saw both and enjoyed them both equally. If the kids are into Harry Potter though I might pick that one over Narnia. Narnia was much more intense then I expected though - I still can't figure out how it did not get a PG13 rating.

Leaning towards Narnia after reading all of your input. I was concerned that since HP only had two shows all day, that it might be leaving the theatres soon.

I vote for Narnia too. There's plenty of action & intensity for boys. It really is one of the best movies i think I've ever seen.

If you HAVE to pick, I'd pick Narnia (we've seen them both) but my actual vote is to do a marathon and see them both!Grab some dinner in between so they don't blend together.A great day out!

Really though, Potter can be seen on the small screen on DVD and not miss much, but some of the visuals in Narnia are not to be missd on the big screen.Have fun!

Narnia. We saw it last week and my DS was on the edge of his seat. I don't think he blinked once while we were in there.

It was a really well written story. Great movie. You must see it. :goodvibes

NARNIA!!! What a wonderful movie!

They are both good but I really enjoyed Narnia.

I've seen them both and didn't like Narnia that much at all. The visuals were fine, but I was pretty bored by the movie. I, however, loved Harry Potter and have seen it nine times. It is one of the best movies I've never seen!

I have seen both (Narnia just last night). I loved Narnia. I agree, the story would be much easier to follow if you haven't seen the previous Harry Potter movies or haven't read the books.

I am not someone who buys a lot of movies, but I think I will have to buy Narnia.

Me too! I know many loved this, but I had a hard time keeping my eyes open!

Narnia. Make sure you stay for after the credits tho. It was a little slow in spots i have to admit

I liked both of them a lot. I thought both movies were really good. For both of them, I found it was easier to understand the movies if you had read the books (especially Harry Potter). But I found that I liked Narnia better.

I saw both movies, can't decide which one was better. Sorry i'm no help but i'm sure that you will enjoy either movie.
