Hello,

Planning a an extended weekend trip with myself and 12 year old daughter.

We have 3 day Park to Park tix, and staying at Royal Pacific.

When I booked the package, they wanted me to book a Breakfast at the Leaky Cauldron I think.

He said it was only available through the package.

I'm used to character meals at WDW - but he said there are no character's but some "Special Surprises." Not clear on exactly what that means.

So kind of wondering if anybody has done this, if they felt is was worth it, as opposed to going for Lunch or Dinner.

My biggest hesitation is...mornings are when it should be the least crowed, and I'm not sure if I want to spend that time at a sit down breakfast, but I'm curious what goes on during the breakfast, and if folks though it was worth it.

Any input appreciated.

I don't know what the special surprises are but I didn't book it because, like you, I thought I'd be burning precious park time. With 3 days, you can probably give up one morning to do it though. Lunch or dinner are good options though. :)

Unless they just changed things, breakfast at the Leaky Cauldron and the Three Broomsticks are both quick service and both are open to anyone. You would probably pay more money to add it to the package than to just eat there yourself. I don't know what special surprises he is talking about. Breakfast does come with a small beverage- standard fountain choices or a pumpkin juice or a butterbeer. The English breakfast is a pretty good value. It is a ton of food. Breakfast is until 10:30, so if you interested you could walk in just before 10:30 so you still get the advantage of low wait times first thing in the morning.

Did the hours change this year?
Last October I ate at the 3 B’s

Breakfast was over at 11 and lunch started at 10:30

I did the lunch there 3 times at 10:40 in the two week period I was there
No crowds, short lines

Oh gracious no. He’s totally wrong. And there are no special surprises. I mean, other than the theming. If you pay attention it’s fun.

LC and 3B are quick service and open to all. 3B was package reservation only for a few “minutes” in 2010 when hogsmeade opened. I don’t think LC ever was.

It’s mystifying how they sell the packages. Or why they act like it’s table service and exclusive.

We’ve experienced lunch at 10:30. It’s possoible breakfast can be ordered until 11 but I don’t know. We’ve always gone in around 10:30 for lunch foods.

I don't know when it changed, mac but when we went in May, breakfast ended at 10:30...I assumed it ended at 11:00 so we missed it by just a few minutes. We ended up going back the next day instead.

Thanks for sharing how it was for you

I’ll be at the darkside next month and will check hours for lunch once there

Seems like eateries hours vary by season

Thanks everyone...I'm thinking maybe he meant that you can only make reservations with the package?

But it's good to know we can just go do, and keep the flexibility of when.

Right. But it's quick service. There are no reservations. You enter the line, order, get your food, and are seated. :)

A reservation with the package guarantees you entry to breakfast at the specified time. This was an advantage when they first started serving breakfast because of its popularity; nowadays no “reservation” is necessary.
