Harry Potter before PCC 2

Anyone interested in a side trip to Universal before or after the cruise?

A year and a half to catch up on the books and the movies...

I'm planning on PCC 1.5, Universal/Royal Caribbean. However, if that falls through...*bites lip*...or The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is spectacular....or The Wizarding World of Harry Potter isn't open (quite likely with Universal's track record), then I would be game.

Funnily enough, my wife and I were having the same conversation last night. We were thinking we might spend a night or two at Universal since she has never been and I haven't been since the mid-90's. After warming up at Universal we'll move over to WDW for all the pre-cruise madness.

I thought the details on HP sounded fab!!! and can't wait.

DH & I are heading to US over the holidays this Christmas for our first visit...hopefully DH will it and want to go back next year. It'd be really wicked if DU had a pre-cruise pkg for US, "the collective" could hang out at US before the cruise and do WDW after the cruise

I am one step ahead.... just got my quote yesterday for 3 nights/4 days at Universal AFTER podcast cruise. I wanted to stay on Universal grounds for Express Line Benefits- I originally requested Royal Pacific, but Hard Rock is actually cheaper those days. I am totally psyched because my husband is a musician and will really enjoy the Hard Rock Hotel.

No financial relationship, but I got my quotes through Dreams Unlimited and I was pleasantly surprised!

Like Todd said if PCC 1.5 fall through or if I can't go on the dates of that cruise. I would be interested in going, too. I am planning days before and after the cruise, so either will work for me.

I so can not wait to go to universal when Harry Potter opens I have not been able to get anyone to go to universal with me, but now that Harry Potter is coming everyone is ready to go back to universal. Would like to go

DH and I were talking about spending a day or two at Universal either before or after, this would be the first time my kids would ever be there. So definitely count us in for any planning!

just FYI, US is in the midst of a major hiring campaign for the opening of HP in April. I think the first weekend in April is the goal and that goes in line with Pete's prediction that it would be open before Easter.

Maybe that will give Universal time to work out any bugs in the attraction by the time PCC 2.0 rolls around.

I plan to visit Universal after the cruise to see Harry Potter World. This will be my first trip to Universal so I plan on staying for 3 nights/4 days. Not sure where I am going to stay, but I know that I will be staying on property. Which hotel would anyone recommend for me?

I just checked out the new link for Harry Potter on the boards. It looks amazing! Still have to decide which days to go to Universal and where to stay before the cruise. Can't wait!

DH and I have decided that after the cruise we are going to spend Thursday and Friday at Universal. I think ew are going to book Hard Rock, but have not finalized it yet.
