I have a bad feeling about this. The fifth movie let me down a lot. The 6th was OK. But I'm not sure how they can make this movie and have it live up to the last book.
Thank yoououu!! I'm not looking forward to November cuz my little baby girl turns 15, and cuz winter's right around the corner. BUT this will make it a little easier to bear!
Thank you. I can't wait! I plan on going to the midnight premiere.
At the same time, I'm dreading the release of the second half.
My generation grew up with this series, and the second movie comes out a month after I graduate high school. What happened to my childhood?

I feel the same, but I was really disappointed in both movies. OOP is my favorite book but definitely not my favorite movie. HBP and DH are my next favorite books and HBP was even more disappointing than OOP so I don't think things are looking too good for DH 1&2, I really wish they wouldn't have stuck with the same director.
Oh well, I still can't wait! I'm really interested to see it and what is in it. I hope they don't skip over a few of my favorite things, as they have before.
!!!SPOILERS!!!
Things I really hope are in the movie:
When Narcissa asks Harry is Draco is still alive.
Dobby and the full extent of his involvement, not just his death.
The seven Harry Potters, they've showed Harry with Hagrid on Sirius' motorcycle but no other mode of transport... as far as I know.
The Tonks family, both her parents and the relationship with Lupin.
Snape's doe patronus.

These are some of the most important parts to me too. Hopefully they'll all be included!
Thanks for the trailer, movie looks great! I am in need of a Harry Potter fix - my friends and I are trying to work up the courage to battle the crowds at Universal in the coming weeks and it's not looking good!
I have this thing about movies I really really want to see: I don't want any trailers/promos/anything before the movie comes out so I can be really surprised and everything will be "new" in the movie. I guess that's silly but it's more fun for me.
I've never wanted to watch a movie trailer so badly before in my life!!! I can't wait for this to come out. I'm crossing my fingers it's good.

I know how you feel! I was 11 when I started reading Harry Potter...I'm 24 now and have a child of my own. And by the time the second part comes out I'll be 25. Crazy how the time flies!
I'll definitely be in mourning when it all comes to an end! It was sad enough when the last book came out...once the last movie comes out I won't have anything left to look forward to! At least not Harry Potter related
That clip was awesome though! I can't wait to see it!
Haha, I feel the same way as some of you. I remember reading the first book when I was 11, I think I got it for Christmas not too soon after it came out in the US. I'm going to have just turned 24 when the final movie comes out.
Lol, I was just crunching some numbers yesterday when I was driving to the movie theater...
I remember reading that Emma Watson was the highest grossing female of the 00s decade in $5.4 billion.
And, someone just said that book sales for the HP series was roughly 400 million. Multiply that by $20 (guessed average per book, hardcovers are more, paper back less, resales are usually good) and that's $8 billion.
Not to mention the millions (or billions) in merchandise, or the theme park boosting movie, book, or merchandise sales. Or, even factoring in the VHS, DVD and download sales...
What a HUGE franchise at least $13.4 billion!!! All starting with a boy who got an unusual scar.
Oh..I got the chills! My 9 year old just shook me by the shoulders and said "You HAVE to take me to see this!!!!!"...lol.
I started reading these books back when my eldest was small. He's now going to be 15, and I have 4 other kids, lol. I was so sad when the last book came out...but loved it. I hope these two movies do it justice.
I started reading these books when the second book came out and my dd which was 8 wanted to read them so I wanted to read them to make sure they were ok for her to read and I got HOOKED!!!
