Just got back and it was great, marvellous, wonderful, brill......

.....yer've got to go see it.
(and I only jumped once - a little bit:eek: )

Thanks for teasing us! You Brits get the sneak preview a good ten days before us.
I hear it is better! Chris C isn't directing the next one although he is staying on as a director. Sad about Richard Harris (Dumbledore). Can't wait for book 5 as well.

Thanks for posting!

I bought advance tickets for the US premiere yesterday. It premieres on my DD's birthday, so going to see Harry Potter is one of her presents. We can't wait for book 5 either!

Glad you enjoyed it Dave - did you think it was better than the first film?

I thought it was better too than the first one too:) There was one bit that reallly made me jump, must be the same bit as

I do think in places it might fall between the PG rating and possibly a 12.Not for my children who aren't nervous at these things but I can imagine a parent of a more nervous child might wish they had been aware how much more dark this film was.

Much better, ShirleyBob. It had everything- more believable effects, more humour and I nearly cried at the end- but that's just me bein a sucker for a happy endin!

I didn't think it was a scary as I expected , but I AM a bit more growed up than yer average 45 yr old ;)

Seriously though, the spiders and snakey bit were so tastefully done I was too impressed and engulfed in the story to be scared at the time- but it might dwell in the mind of littluns and give them the odd bad dream.

Can't wait for the DVD - I might even read the books now- but just the first two- don't want to know what happens next till next year.

I found the last one just a tad bit scary. Will my DS, age 7, be able to see this one? Looking forward to it.

Saw it this morning. LOVED IT LOVED IT, better than number 1 (if possible) the cinema was half empty!! like everyone else can't wait for number 5 book to come out, does anyone know when,
PS, came back from mickey land a week ago, had a fab time want to go back now!!!! NOW. We said it was our last trip for a while BUT:bounce: :bounce:
Lin xx

We saw it this afternoon, and the HP fans loved it. It's very good, but we were very surprised at the PG rating, it was a bit much for our 6 year old but she coped. I'd say nearer the 12 rating for scary, I'm not as growed up as Dave!!

Both films have premiered right on DD2s birthday (yesterday) and she is the BIG HP fan!!

Great special effects, don't go if you have spider or snake phobias!!

Lin, I saw an interview with JK Rowling on TV last week at the premiere. They asked when the next book would be finished and she said that it would be sent to the publishers within the next few weeks. Hopefully that means the new book will be out sometime in the new year (fingers crossed).

DD (aged 7) and I are off to see HP on Friday and can't wait. Although it will be more likely to scare the pants of me than her !!:(

Went to see the film yesterday and we all really enjoyed it - even DW & DDs who are afraid of spiders :)

Great film.

We saw HP on Saturday - better than the 1st we thought :D Very funny this time too.

Spotty,

Sorry mate but you will have to wait until 2004 to see the 3rd film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The reason for this is due to the increasing size of the books it is becoming harder to fit the filming into one year. Book 4 is going to be HUGE and a nightmare to film due to the length.

Speaking of the books, you will be pleased to hear that JK Rowling is very very very close to finishing Book 5 - Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix. She claims that the book will go to the publishers in the next few weeks. Currently the book is weighing in at a whole 38 chapters, which is one more that Book 4, although that does not mean the book will be as long.

I certainly can't wait...!!!

Dave

Went to see it Friday. Thought it was much better than the 1st film and can't wait until the next book. Have to say Harry Potter is like WDW for Children of all ages :teeth:

Anyway it was good therapy for taking my mind off Strikes :(

Would say my mum enjoyed the first film but might not like going down to the woods as she is scared stiff of spiders. We have one of those things that you plug in to keep creepies, mice etc out. Touch wood they seem to work. Think that there are certain parts of AK that she couldn't cope with!

........went yesterday with the kids .......great film, better than the first ( which was excellent ).........did anyone else wait until the final credits to watch the little cameo about Gilderoy Lockhart?????

......mike

Mike,

We have just got back in from watching the film and couldnt remember what you had said in your post. Needless to say we missed it!!!
