Hey y'all, so i'm going to Disney next month for my April vacation. Me and my mommy were thinking about going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. So my question for all of you is have any you guys ever going to WWoHP, is it worth the trip? And is there any transportation from a Disney resort or do you have to take a cab?

I'm pretty sure there is not transportation from Disney to Universal.

I went in July and the first day we arrived in Florida we went to WWOHP. This was a few weeks after it opened and it was WALL TO WALL people. So packed, it was ridiculous. Took us an hour to get inside and two hours to ride forbidden journey.

That being said, if you're a pretty big Harry Potter fan, seen the movies, read the books, I think it's worth it. It was a very very cool place and even though it took awhile to get through everything, it was amazing! Forbidden journey was awesome and the stores were really neat. Everything is expensive, remember that, so save some money if you want a few things. I didn't ride any other rides but Forbidden Journey but just the layout of the whole thing and how real it looked was awesome.

So, if you want, I say yes! :)

Thanks so much for the information. I would really love and go see it cuz I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. (I'm going to the mid night show in July for my Best Friends birthday) But my mom's not :scared1: I know its shocking. So because we probs have to take a taxi we're now leaning against not going:sad2:. But now that i know that information I'll keep it in mine for another time...maybe my eighteenth birthday/ graduation trip that's suppose to happen next year.

I loved WWOHP! It was great, and Universal/Islands of Adventure was fun too.

However, my parents had a rental car while we were there and we didn't go to Disney that vacation (only Universal). :sad1:

It was pretty busy, but that may be because the Harry Potter area is so small. The shops are packed together along the street so it can get pretty crowded. The Forbidden Journey ride was a lot of fun, I think we went on it three times, but it can get busy as well. The wait can be long since, when I was there, it broke down twice while we were waiting in line. I'm sure they have fixed it since then but it is still the most popular ride in Universal.

But anyway, I thought it was worth going to see. Especially since I got a t-shirt with my house on it: Ravenclaw FTW!

If you get the chance you should definately go! WWoHP is so much fun, it's exactly like the Hogsmead described in the books. I got a cute t-shirt with Pygmy Puff's on it, sweets from Honeydukes and the wand that "chose" my brother from Olivanders :goodvibes.

If you can, I'd get the Virgin Airways package that gives you an early morning visit; a group of about 100 people get a breakfast at the Three Broomsticks, entrance to the Forbidden Journey and all of the shops before the park opens officially. It saves so much time!

I went to WWOHP this past July and it was amazing. If you're a Harry Potter fan or someone who loves rides (Forbidden Journey is the greatest ride I've ever been on), then you should definately try to get there if you can. My only complaint is that it's quite a small area (not an entire park, like some think), so it can get crowded. If you get there early in the morning, though, you can see everything without having to wait in line too much.

i went to WWOHP on my marching band's trip to Florida in September :) it is ALOT of fun! i'm a pretty big Harry Potter fan so of course i recognized alot of things :). and for me, having a bunch of band geeks there made it all the better lol. and whenever you go, GET BUTTERBEER! i have been craving butterbeer since September :). there's regular and frozen. i reccomend the regular. the fizz at the top really adds to the taste :). the ride in Hogwarts (don't remember the name) was kinda scary but really cool :). but of course im a total scardey cat . i would say go as soon as you can :) it's totally awesome :wizard:

The WWOHP is absolutely amazing! I got to go last year during its soft open time and had a blast! I highly recommend it. The Forbidden Journey is very fun and the queue alone is amazingly detailed. :)
