Harry Potter 7: WE HAVE A RELEASE DATE!

im sorry if i offend anyone, but i personally think the movies are rip-offs. i mean, its better than nothing, but they skip out on soo much. i say, a longer fuller movie is better than a short wimpy one.

I kind of agree with you there. For instance, there was no S.P.E.W. in Goblet of Fire. That would have been funny.

But I'm one of those "don't knock it 'till you try it" people. If it's HP, I'll go see it.

This wont be the last book actually, the last one is going to be something about the Harry Potter people as grown-ups.

I agree that movies dont show everything, but all the same it's fun to watch what I have read since the first grade :)

I love the books, and am all hyped up for the seventh, even though it's really predictable. In my opinion, the movies are absolute trash, and the student's acting is abysmal. The mmovies leave out too much, and have made HP too commercial. And Mugglenet.com is absolute, total, complete and utter rubbish. They used to be cool and everything, but now, they seem to care more about the actors and all of the 'HP scene' rather than the actual books themselves. And they are self-centered enough to beg for votes in polls for coolest site, and count it as news. I always check the sites that they run against, and they don't beg for votes. :rolleyes2

okay..I guess I ranted a bit, but I am hyped about the book.

Of course we're going to prefer the books to the movies.

Who would go see a movie, even if it was a Harry Potter movie, that was 4 hours long?

:)

Yes, I cannot wait for the book, I have read all the books, cried at the end of 6. It's about time! yay! :)
Ehh the movies...idk I realize they leave alot out, but then again I prolly couldn't tell you what they leave out b/c it has been such a while since I read the books then saw the movies. But heck, by far any book is better than the movies (cept those awkard ones that are turned into books after the movie is out.)

No this is the last one. The Stuff about the remaining characters that are alive will be the Epiolige (sp) well kind of like the last chapter.

But I'm sooooooooooo excited. Ryan Seacrest told me. (On his show on E!)
But i'm going to be sooooo sad. :(

I so love the books!:lovestruc I can't wait to read it but I am sad that it is the last. It has been fun always knowing that there will be more to the story and I don't want it to be over.
I know what you mean about the movies leaving out important things (like S.P.E.W.) I think I would go see a a Harry Potter movie that was 4 hours long if it did stick to the book.
This July will be so exciting.:yay:

The movies also do ALOT of things different.

Why will the 7th book be predictable? I don't think so. I have no idea what's going to happen. Although I really want to know if HP takes Ron and Hermione with him when he goes out for his adventure...

What do ya'll think is gonna happen in the last book?

I think both Harry and Voldy are gonna die.

Woohoo, I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to this. Forget the movie, that doesn't matter in the slightest, but I wanna know how the story ends! *wriggles excitedly in her chair*

Hee, I like the date chosen. 07/07/07 would've been cool, but this one is neat, too.

Haha...Voldy....

You gave the evil killer wizard a nickname...haha...

Has anyone seen Daniel Ratcliffe's new movie commercial? He is some naked dude who's in love with horses or something...gross.....

That is another reason I don't like the movies...

I heard that 07/07/07 was what JKR originally wanted, but she didn't make it that day because that's the anniversary of the London bombings. The date would have been cool, but I understand the reason why it didn't happen.

As for what will happen in DH, I refuse to believe that Harry will die until I read it myself. I don't really think he will. Voldemort, yes, definitely. Harry, not so sure.

I think Harry will have to return to the school, whether it is to attend as a student or for a different reason (remember, he said he wasn't going back at the end of Half Blood Prince).

I think Hermione and Ron will be an item, and Ginny and Harry will get back together. I know Harry said it was too dangerous for her to be with him, but think about it. When was the last time Ginny willingly obeyed her own family, let alone Harry?

As for the final Horcruxes, I haven't the faintest clue. Maybe you guys have some ideas. I love the idea of the last Horcruxes being items that belonged to Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. The possibilities are really endless here.

:confused3
People have always called him Voldy online, it's not a first.

Radcliffe is going naked in Equus, a West End play about a troubled youth who blinds horses. It's his attempt at "serious acting." He and Jo are both similar in that they think they can move on to bigger and better things. Neither of them can ever trump whatthey are doing now, as much as they want to.

With the whole Equus thing, I don't mind. He has the right to do what he wants with his work, he shouldn't be condemned to make youth movies for the rest of his life because he was in the Harry Potter series. It's hard for actors to get out of this kind of work becuase people don't see him as 'they guy who played so & so' they think of him as the actual 'Harry Potter'
It probably won't turn out well, but that doesn't bother me.

I think that the Mirror of Erised is a horcrux because it has clawed feet, like a raven. It suggests Raveclaw, so it might be her item.

The whole horcruxes thing competely boggles me.

I don't know what to think...

I just really hope that where ever Harry goes he brings Hermione,Ron and Ginny with him...:)
