AMAZING photos!

I am now curious where you were seated for shows/rehearsals and the type of camera you used. Not that I'm a gigantic camera guy but the zoom and detail was very impressive.

Ok, that ship is HUGE! How in the world did you get all those great pictures with no people around? Did you find the ship crowded at all or is there so much space, everyone disperses?

Thank you everyone :) Had a great cruise and can't wait until our next one.

AMAZING photos!

I am now curious where you were seated for shows/rehearsals and the type of camera you used. Not that I'm a gigantic camera guy but the zoom and detail was very impressive.

I just picked up the new Sony A7iii about a month before our cruise and had with me a 12mm Rokinon Fisheye, Sony 24-70mm and Sony 70-300G lenses, great camera and was really impressed with the 70-300.

For the shots of the Fine Line rehearsal I took those from our balcony, we were in room 10327 and had about 3/4 of a view of the stage from our room, loved the location and view. For both Columbus and Grease we were on the right side of the theater, I made sure I sat on the outside, and were maybe 5-7 rows back. Here is where I was really impressed with the 70-300 lenses combined with the auto focus of the camera, both handled very good together in the low light sistuations as you can see.

I woke up at 5am a few mornings to make sure I got some pictures without the crowds :smooth:

As for the ship and the crowds, I did find it at items a little crowded, mostly in the Promenade area and a few times at Windjammer. Other than that It wasnt bad at all, Central Park was a great escape if looking for a quiet spot, Boardwalk area was never overly crowded except when the Fine Line emptied out but that quickly dissipated. Pool areas weren't that bad either, I could see if tough finding a chair on the pool deck if one were to go on a sunny day around noon or so. The deck above that looked like you could grab a chair or lounger with no problem. For the most part the ship does a great job of handling the crowds.

Do you have any dinner menus or teen/kids club schedules? We are on the June 30 sailing. Those seating areas on Labadee - are they reserved or first come first served? Which beach? Thanks!

In Labadee, paid seating is reserved. The free seating is first come first served. Adrenaline Beach is larger and more popular. I also find that it's a bit more rocky. Columbus Cove seems to have less people, but it's also a smaller beach area.

Adventure Ocean runs from 9-12, 2-5 and 7-10 on sea days, and will open earlier as needed on port days. Kids lunch is offered (in the Windjammer or at Mini-Bites) on port days only, and dinner is offered (in the Windjammer) on days 2-7.

Great pictures!. Loved the view from your room. We're in 9325 and 9323 on Allure later this year. I'm looking forward to watching the aqua show from the balcony

WOW, thanks. We go in November, so excited.

I did not know about those boat benches on the beach those are cool. We already have beach bungalows booked on Columbus Cove but those look like a nice option. That side by side shot is crazy with how big it looks. I know Empress is older and small on today's scale but still ...

Your trip looked like so much fun! Love all the pictures. We are going on the on 6/30 and it'll be my first time sailing with kids. Did you find it easy to keep track of them around the ship since it's so big?

We didnt seem to have any issues with that, for the most part they stuck by our sides pretty well the entire time

I’m going on the symphony next year and in room 10327. Since the are pretty much identical, I assume my room will be a lot like yours. I’m happy to hear you liked the location and view. How was the noise level from the shows/movies? I have family in 10329 and 10325 - if we have them open the balcony portions do you think we’d see more then 3/4 of the stage? Any other thoughts on the room location?

Loved all your pictures!

these photos are STUNNING! What camera did you use? I'm going to be on the harmony in december during xmas, so excited to see the ship myself. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you :teeth:

I wont lie, the noise from the shows and movies could be pretty loud at times even with the door closed. As tired as we were we didn't have any trouble sleeping if a show was still going on but more often than not we were up past the ending of the shows. Room 10329 will have the best views and will be able to see the whole stage, even from our room we could see almost the entire thing so you should be good to go.

Much appreciated, thank you

I currently am shooting with a Sony A7iii and love it. You are going to have a great time on that cruise
