My DH and want to get our hair cut at Harmony Barbershop on our next trip. We are both 60ish..I see threads mostly about young children getting haircuts. Are they any adults out there who have had their haircut here.. What has been your experience?

My DH gets his hair cut there almost every trip. I have had the "pixie dust" treatment done to me. Many CMs get their hair cut there too. No one will give you the "stink eye" for getting your hair cut there.

I love this! My seventeen year old has been getting his hair cut at Harmony for years - in fact, he won't get it cut anywhere else! We have several [adult] friends who go regularly for their haircuts too. Definitely go for it!

For many years it was my WDW "tradition" to get my hair cut at the barber shop on Main Street on every visit to WDW. They always gave a very good haircut. When I had a trip planned I would hold off on getting my hair cut at home just so I was "ready."

That was back when it was actually a barber shop where people went to get their hair cut. You could get in without a huge wait. It seems lately it's become more of a poor substitute for BBB, with so many people taking their kids to get glitter in their hair, that the line to get a haircut is too long.

Wow! Great responses.. Thanks, guys! One more question.. does the Barbershop Quartet actually sing there? I heard they may come in around noon and sing.. That would be cool!

The Dapper Dans usually do one appearance there per day.
Ask at the barbershop.

Thanks! I'll ask when I call for an appointment!

Sorry, but the CM on the phone won't have that kind of information.
(It's just a reservation line.)

But, do stop by the shop on your way into MK and ask the barbers there.

I got my hair cut at there on our last trip. It was a MNSSHP day and the MK was pretty quiet. I walked up and was in a chair within 10 minutes. I didn't get the "pixie dust" in my hair but they did a fine job cutting my hair. I may make it a yearly tradition. Now only if I could figure out how to do the Flag Retreat..

Is Pixie dust extra? I would love that.. It might not come out even after a week's worth of shampooing but that is fine with me!!

I will! Thanks for the info!

It was no cost. There were people bringing little princesses and princes up and they were waving their "wands" and sprinkling the pixie dust in their hair. I don't think you'll have trouble washing it out after one or two shampooings.. :)
