I would love to get my daughter's haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop! It sounds like fun and affordable! Tell me more!

Has anyone done this? What time of day is best, as to not interfere with rides, etc. Was thinking 10:30am-ish?:cool1:

They do a great job!!! I take my grandson there every time for his haircut. He loves it. I have made appts. for him but I really like just going in there first thing in the morning. They are never busy at that time. I always see little girls in there getting their hair all done for their costumes. They are so cute!

Took my daughter (who is 2) there for her first hair cut a couple months back. We had an appointment for 9:30 on a Sunday morning (scheduled the appt about a week before.) Went straight there after rope drop and there was a MOB outside the door waiting for it to open. At least 6 people (children and adults) were there as walk-ins. The shop itself is VERY small. There are only three styling stations and the desk to check-in and pay. There is very minimal seating and most people have to stand outside and wait. It's too small to bring in your stroller, and I was wearing a backpack and ended up having to take it off because the one barber couldn't get around it to cut the guy's hair who was next to my daughter. It's *that* tight.

They are very good with small kids (covered my daughter with stickers, gave her a light up spinning toy to play with and blew bubbles for the kid before us.) They also give you a cute certificate and a lock of your child's hair for the first haircut and a pair of Mickey ears that say 'First Haircut.' For $18 it's a great deal for a keepsake. But honestly, I didn't find it as magical as I hoped. It felt very, very crowded and I had a hard time even backing up to take good pictures. I felt the amount of people standing all around and waiting only added to the rushed feeling of the whole experience. I think it's a neat thing to do once, I mean, getting your hair cut at Disney is just cool, but I'm not sure I would do it again. I think I just envisioned the whole thing a little differently. :confused3

They didn't cut my granddaughters hair just put it up with bunches of mini ponytails (see my profile pic) it cost $5 to do. It was q hot day and worked out great. Asked if we had sunblock and put in on...granddaughter has thin hair and this style looked great. We had apptd in the am and the wait was long I think afternoon may be better time to go.

We did my DD's first haircut there. They were great with her. We made our appointment for noon, and the barber shop quartet came in while we were there. We had so much fun on our next trip, DH and DD both got their haircut there at the same time. I'm not pregnant with DD #2. If at all possible, I would like for her to get her first haircut there too.

I would make an appointment. The time is really up to you, but it is very small in there so if you don't, you can still probably get in but you could end up waiting.
