I will just point out to be careful of touring plans when you have a little one. Meltdowns are common and EVERYTHING takes longer than expected. My twins have been three times by the time they turned 14 months. And my son HATED his first haircut at Harmony, but the pictures are so cute.

We just had my 12 month old first hair cut there. It was pretty quick. The hair cut lasted about 8-9mins. He doesn't have that much hair. We got there earlier than our appointment and they took us right away since there was only one other person in there. We also had our appointment during the 3pm parade so maybe that's why it was empty.

My kids are 2 and 4. Definitely planning to go with the flow, but the touring plans certainly help me with deciding what to fast pass and approximately when.

I think touring plans are smart to have with little ones, of course flexibility being key. With 4 kids 5 and under they were crucial for us.

We took my niece for her first haircut a few weeks ago. It was pretty quick. Her appointment was at park opening at 9am on 9/4, so she was the first baby in one of the chairs when they opened. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes. It is a very small space, with 3 chairs. Such an adorable experience.

My 2.5yo had her first haircut there last March, 11:00am apt. It was very quick, less than 10 minutes.

I had budgeted 45 so we just spent the extra time exploring Main St

Just did our daughters first haircut at the beginning of the month. Our appointment was at 5pm. We got there 15 mins early and she was in the chair within 3 mins. We were all done in 15 mins and stepped out right when the flag ceremony started. I think 45 mins is longer than it will take, but we were also there during a slow week.

We also have a 9am appt. which coincides with MK opening that day. If they are advising us to be there 15 min. early, does that mean we will be allowed to enter MK a little before rope drop? I know Harmony is right near MK entrance so I suspect we will have to wait until 9am to enter. Just wondering what your experience was. Thanks

Nope. We got in with the rope drop crowd at 8:45 right after the welcome show. They tell you to get there 15 mins before, but the Barbershop doesn't open its doors until exactly 9am.. or at least that was our experience. We had to wait outside for 10 minutes.

You have to call. If they have availability for your desired day they will give you a confirmation# over the phone. You will want to write it down because unlike restaurant reservations, your barbershop appointment will NOT show up in your MDE account.
