Harmonious

The best views, IMHO, are in the countries directly to the left and right of the theater in America (Italy and Japan) and also the promenade between Canada and Mexico. The areas tend to get very crowded, however, so I would plan to get there fairly early to secure a spot.

Thanks for posting this question. I was going to, but searched before hand. People are so busy slamming the show they don't respond to questions of viewing spots.

Harmonious has a big, round thing and four half circles that all show some sort of animation. The best view of the animations in the big, round thing are from the area at the end of future world, near the boat launch area. I watched Harmonious from the bridge between UK and France and had a great view of the animations on the half circles, but couldn't see what was happening in the big, round thing. I loved the view from the bridge and didn't mind missing the big one. This is a good area to be if you are exiting the International Gateway for the Epcot resorts or Skyliner resorts or to get back to DHS.

As much in front of the center circle screen as you can be would be best I think. I believe there may still be a stage set up in much of that area (between the 2 friendship boat launch docks that are between Canada and Mexico) on the one side of the lagoon. We watched it from a wheelchair area (I use an ECV) and there seemed to be some good spots just to the "right" of it if you're facing the lagoon - more towards the Canada side. There's a store there so it's almost behind the store....along the fence from that store to the boat launch.

It seemed to me that a person in a good location could still be behind people and see it fine. I can stand and walk (I just cannot walk that much) so I parked my ECV in the back of the disabilities viewing area and waited there and stood up to watch the show. There were quite a few people standing in front of me (family/friends of those in wheelchairs, etc) and I could see well enough.

I think if that stage gets removed it would be the best spot as you be centered in front of the round screen.

Anyone know how the view of Harmonious is from La Hacienda San Angel? I have reservations at firework time but it's a little late so if the view isn't good from there (or they don't pipe in music) I may go for an earlier dinner and watch the show from elsewhere.

Hi, We haven't been to Disney in a few years but they used to offer a pontoon boat ride that took you in the water to a great spot to watch Illuminations. Is this still available to purchase? If so, how?

Piggybacking, La Cantina San Angel, too.

Is the old Fastpass viewing area near the Port of Entry store open to the public now? Or is it reserved for groups or parties?

I saw Harmonious several times in the last week. If you want to see the projections on the water screen in the stargate then the area to the left and right of the America's Gardens theater area on that end of the lagoon would be good, and the area from Mexico to Canada on the other side of the lagoon.

I think Harmonious is a decent show. More tech, imagery and fireworks than Illuminations. Illuminations will always be my favorite - I loved the combination of the imagery, story and fireworks. That being said Disney knows I has to appeal to the next generation of park goers and their families and I believe this is what they were trying to accomplish.

I'd say give it a chance.

You aren't guaranteed a good view there, some tables have no view at all.

What is everyone’s opinion on the best viewing spot for Harmonious? I’m thinking in front of the America pavilion or Italy. Thoughts and opinions please.

Italy was always my first choice for Illuminations and with the orientation of the stargate in the center of the lagoon I have the same opinion about Harmonious. Partly because of the view and also due to my experience with the typical weather patterns in Orlando I very rarely had the breeze blow the smoke in my direction. Most of the time the wind took the smoke either to the UK/Canada area or China/Norway. Always check the direction the torches are going, or the flags on the top on the America's pavilion or the two trading outpost shops.

Where around the World Showcase has the best Harmonious viewing? We're going on to Epcot on Wednesday and this will be our first time seeing Harmonious. Thanks!

We really like Harmonious now. We loved Illuminations and while a non IP show seems better for EPCOT, loosing HEA at MK was just awful. This at least fills some of the void for us anyway. Plus it is visually stunning and very good fireworks. It's quite a bit longer as well.

As for where to be, by far the best is dead center out from SE. It's seemed closer to the fireworks and obv the screens are set with the spot in mind. That said, many spots are plenty sufficient around the lagoon. And as we see it over the years, pretty sure we will be walking around with a drink while it goes off-still loving the songs and taller fireworks.

Height (or waiting in a front spot) obv matters if you want to see the projections, we had a taller group and lately have found quite a bit of open spots right out dead center, and it rises a bit anyway so it's not a bad spot even as showtime approached.

Wind. The smoke in your face does take away some clarity, maybe base that as your spot choice. Yet weirdly one night we were out dead center with the wind in our face (no bugs in our teeth), and some of the laser/projection effects where enhanced. But other visuals did get a bit fuzzy.

Other spots we like are as others have said. Just right of Japan, or out from Italy. Then the CA and Norway spots are pretty good as well.
