Hardrock 6/5 - 6/10

After staying (and LOVING) the Portofino Bay Hotel last trip we decided to try something new and check out the Hardrock. We booked a standard room but, were given a free upgrade to pool view for being Lowes members. The room was large and well appointed. Sorry, but, I have to say it --- the carpet was pretty stained. We liked the overall theming of the Hardrock. The walk to the park was 5-10 minutes which was terrific. The pool area is very nice and always hopping. We ate at the Kitchen which was good. We also requested and received the late checkout for free. This helped a lot since our flight was not leaving until 7:05 pm. I can't really complain about anything at the hotel but, we did prefer the PBH which is just personal perferance. Our teenagers however preferred the atmosphere at the Hardrock!! Favorite ride had to be The Mummy. I was a little leary but I am so glad I rode it because it was really neat. DH and DS's love Men In Black. With front of the line they just rode it over, and over, and over, and over (well you get the idea!). For my 46th birthday my son's even got me on Dueling Dragons . I am not a coaster person but, what a ride that was! All in all it was a great family vacation.

We were thinking about dining at the Kitchen. I haven't been able to find much info on it however. Do you happen to have a menu? If not, what did you have...any pictures? Thanks.
