I know it depends on the time of year, and the resort, and any holidays, etc....but, what day of the week do you think is the hardest to get?

I originally thought Saturday night because people start their vacation on a Saturday. But, that is a high point night so maybe people really start on Sunday therefore Saturday is easier??

Just curious what you have experienced when trying to waitlist:coffee:

As a general matter Sun through Thurs are somewhat harder nights to get than Fri or Sat at WDW resorts because of the point differences. However, that generality really provides little information upon which to plan to make a reservation since time of year, resort, and room size and view you want, and when you try to reserve (such as 11 or 7 months out) are far more important factors in determining whether you can actually get something regardless of which night you are looking for. If looking at nights somewhat more likely to get from wait list, it would probably be Fri or Sat unless those are part of a holiday weekend, are any time in Dec, part of a marathon weekend, part of any weekend in Oct., part of the weekend in Sep when Food & Wine begins, or in a lower point season from the rest of week (e.g., Fri and Sat are in a lower point season than the adjacent Sun through Thurs nights in either direction). Also, Sun has historically been the highest start day of a vacation for DVC members because many limit themselves to Sun through Thurs night vacations although that was far more the rule before four years ago when they lowered points needed for weekend (Fri and Sat) nights and raised them for weekdays (Sun through Thurs).

Booking a trip where I can only book part of it on one contract at 11 months. And at seven months going to book the final 2 nights.

Wondering if I should have booked Sunday through Thursday nights. Then tried to get Saturday night and Friday night, the first and last night at 7 months.

Boardwalk, boardwalk view, two bedroom, March 14, 2015

Boardwalk view, particularly for studio or 2BR can be difficult at 7 months out any time of year for any day of the week. Nevertheless, that March week you want, Mar 14 (Sat) to 21, is a low DVC demand time and thus you have a chance, including getting a couple days on wait list if that becomes necessary. If you had tried to reserve March 15 (Sat) to March 22, 2014, at 7 months out you would have found your nights open for a 2BR boardwalk view except March 20 and 21 (a weekday and a weekend night), thus indicating the end of the week you want is more difficult to get than the beginning. Note that March 15 also disappeared by 9 a.m. eastern on August 15 so any attempt to get a night should be done at 8 a.m. on-line (MS can link any reservations via phone or email after they are made on line).
