Hard to get Reservation

So I am looking to see if I can get a reservation for next week... basically hoping for cancellations....

How do I maximize my chances? Call, online?

I called this morning and was told the reservations become available to book at 7am. Should I call at 7 or do I have an equally good chance online? Any other tips or hints?

I don't have high hopes, but I guess if I don't try I won't know....

Calling, and calling, and calling... And maybe use a travel agent. They cost you nothing and many specialize in WDW reservations.

Any recommendations? I would love to put someone else on this, especially since 7am is the middle of my get everyone up and out the door time.

We were able to get the week by getting a day at a time. I got online every morning starting at 5/530 and just stayed with it and it happened!! Some mornings at 5 others it took til 730. Only once did I get two days together so we have 6 reservation numbers

Does that mean you have to check out/check in 6 times?

Don't think so others have said they have done this and they will link reservations. I sent a fax yesterday for loop request and included all numbers so hopefully not.

One day at a time. This is how we booked Christmas the last two years. Once you have it booked then call and have them linked together. We have never had to move. Check all the time online. First thing in morning, lunch, afternoon, late. There was no better time than another. Good luck to you!

We contacted a travel agent and she got us in!!! It's only 3 nights, and it is full hookup rather than premium, but we will be at the Fort 11/26 - 11/29

And I am not telling the kids, first time surprising them!

So Saturday we leave, Sunday we arrive at Tampa to pick up our coach, Tuesday through Friday am, at the Fort, then back home to NJ.
