I know I read somewhere what the hard sweep times and locations are for the marathon, but I can't seem to find them now! Can someone post them or the link to the thread? Thanks!

Here are the points as they have been previously listed.

Description (Mile Post) – Time after last runner crosses start
Epcot Entrance (2.7) - 0:53
Backstage Epcot Test Track (3.3) – 1:03
Bridge near World Drive (5.5) - 1:38
Speedway (8.3) – 2:38
Contemporary Resort (10) – 2:50
Floridian Way Turnoff (13) - 3:38
AK Parking Lot (18) - 4:58
Osceola U-turn (20.5) – 5:38

These are the hard points that have been listed and I seem to recall busses waiting at the speedway during the last couple years. However, expect that if one falls behind a moving 16 minute pace you will be asked to hop aboard the bus that is somewhere behind the 16 minute pace. Since you cannot control when the last runner crosses the start you should really focus on where you are within your own event. Make a pace chart/wrist band for reference on coarse. Start your watch as you cross the start.

After crossing the start practice breathing, relaxing your upper body and focus on moving. Do not go out faster than training pace the first mile and be sure to check your times at the first few mile posts. Remember if you go really hard the first mile it can create a deficit later during the event.

Focus on the positives of the day and smile.

Thank you for the information and encouragement! Training has not gone as well as I had planned over the past few months so I'm just going to do the best that I can and try to enjoy myself. Thanks again!
