Being a music fan I was wondering whether The Hard Rock Vault at the Mercardo is worth visiting?, It certainly sounds impressive.

Does it get busy?

Thanks

We did this in May, Kev. Yes, it was definitely worth it, especially if you are a music fan. The tour groups depart periodically from the 'The Hub', which itself contains plenty to keep you occupied for hours. You can join any tour, although I imagine most people choose the first to leave after they enter. There were about 8 people on ours and I don't think you'd want too many more as the 'rooms' are pretty small.

There are 6 rooms in all (the Intro Room plus 5 themed rooms). The tour guide is extremely knowledgeable and is keen to involve the party, both in terms of answering questions and in inviting you to share your experiences.

You exit back into The Hub which includes a cafe and recording facility where you can cut your own CD. This is great as it gives you a chance to see anything you missed before the tour. There is a section 'Temple of Toys and Trinkets' which especially excited me. I was busy telling dh about an orange and cream Beatles guitar I had as a child, when it suddenly appeared on a carousel within a display cabinet! Cool! (Even more cool it I still owned it
 ). My brother claims it was his. (It wasn't).

We took lots of photos (including one of the guitar), but elder dd totally wiped one of our memory cards - about 150 photos.  You can't take photos during the tour, only in The Hub.
